The event was officiated by Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, who commented on the cultural experience and celebration, stating “Today’s festival is an opportunity for our friends in Malaysia to experience firsthand the magic of Songkran—from Len Nam (water-splashing festivities) to vibrant Thai traditions such as Rod Nam Dam Hua and Ram Wong Rerng Songkran.
This festival also serves as a venue for greater trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia. I encourage you to explore over 40 stalls offering authentic Thai culinary dishes and high-quality products.
While we always welcome Malaysian tourists to experience Songkran in Thailand, I am thrilled to bring the spirit of Songkran to Kuala Lumpur, so each and every one of you can enjoy our beautiful Thai cultures right here.”
