This is the second year Retrobee Global organized the Barber Expo Asia, last year the event attracted approximately 4,000 visitors from 12 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and more. This year the organizer aims to be even bigger and better with an expected attendance of 4,000 to 6,000 visitors to showcase a diverse blend of traditional techniques and contemporary styles.

● Workshops

Featuring internationally renowned educators Director Hwan, Josh OP, Abby Chen, and Alan Beak, attendees will have exclusive access to hands-on workshops and seminars, gaining invaluable insights into the latest trends, techniques, and innovations shaping the industry.

● Competitions

a) Barberlympics 2024: A thrilling centerpiece of BarberExpo & SalonExpo 2024, where top talents from across Asia will compete in various categories, showcasing their creativity, skill, and passion. Winners will be celebrated in a special awards ceremony, honoring excellence in barbering. This competition was also featured in last year’s event.

b) World Barber Classic: Featuring the theme Creative Classics,the grand prize winner will receive a sponsorship to Japan in 2025 and a cash prize of RM3,000. The competition will be judged by renowned artist Kaiser Huang together with an esteemed panel of 7 international judges.

c) Muvmen Shaggy Cut Competition: Participants must use sponsored products and will have 35 minutes to create the look. Competition will be judged by a distinguished panel of 6 renowned judges.

d) Vossa Bob Cut; Mannequin Competition: Participants must use provided mannequin, sponsored products and will have 35 minutes to create the look. The competition will have 4 esteemed judges such as Director Hwan, Datin Winnie, Dr Michael Poh and Bambang.

e) Skull Republic Burst Face with Creative Top [Tag Team]: participants must be a tag team of 2 people, use sponsored products and will have 35 minutes to create the look. Competition will have an accolade of 4 distinguished judges
