Prior to this visit, I was at Textures by C3 Lab few weeks ago for their Coffee Workshop. They serve artisan coffees using quality beans from The Hub Coffee Roaster which source only award-winning single origin quality coffee beans from around the world.

Texture by C3 Lab Café is co-founded by world-class pastry chefs, Chef Chong aka @breadpitt and Chef @lawrence_bobo_official both who are known for their love, passion, and work in fine pastries and chocolates.

Chef Chong Ko Wai @breadpitt known as “The Brad Pitt of Pastry”, has won the hearts of thousands of pastry fans. Chef Chong is notably famous in creating modern French pastries with the perfect balance in flavours and textures. 

With a great eye for detail, exhibited through his artistic sugar and chocolate showpieces, his team won the 6th placing in the 2017 Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon. He was won the 2nd placing at the 2016 Mondial des Arts Sucres, his entremets creations topped the category in the competition.

Sourdough Chicken Pesto with Coffee Lemon

Chef Lawrence Cheong @lawrence_bobo is famous for his amazing chocolate artistry and masterpieces, he reinvents the classic patisseries and chocolates into an array of exquisite delectables. His team won the 4th placing and was awarded the title “Best Chocolate Showpiece” in the 2015 Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon.

Recently, we went back to Texture by C3 Lab Café again to indulge some of their signature desserts, sandwiches, and coffee such as big breakfast, croissant beef bacon egg mayo, sourdough chicken pesto, strawberry yogurt, exotic plated dessert, coffee lemon, drip coffee, and more.

Their Big Breakfast portion is generous, suitable for sharing. Perfect combination to satisfy our tummy. It comes with sourdough toast, grilled bratwurst chicken sausage, sunny side eggs, grilled tomato, stuffed portobello mushroom and avocado.

The Croissant Beef Bacon with Egg Mayo comes with freshly baked flaky croissant with beef bacon, egg mayo, dijon mustard butter and fresh greens. If you are a croissant lover, you must try this or can also order their plain croissant.

This is my favourite because their sourdough is so good. It comes with flavourful pesto mayonnaise, garlic butter, button mushroom, grilled chicken, grilled pineapple, and cheese slice.

Besides these, we also tried their special sourdough with blue cheese and cranberries served with butter with seasalt, cream cheese with beef, and apple and cream cheese with smoked duck. I personally like their sourdough with blue cheese and cranberries really special and its my first time try it.

This specially made and refreshing Exotic Plated Dessert comes with yuzu meringue, mango yuzu sorbet, mango compote, whipped ganache, fresh strawberry and lime zest.

The sorbets and yogurt are freshly made in house.

Since Mid-Autumn is around the corner, we also tried their fine Mid-Autumn Moon-Cake Collection which is not any ordinary mooncake.

It a masterpiece specially crafted with four petite gateau that evokes a symphony of flavors - Black Sesame Cherry, Matcha Mango representing Asian flavours and Peach Berry and Blackberry Tea Chocolate representing European flavours.

You can also get one of the Mid-Autumn Toppers which you can add on any of Texture by C3 Lab’s artisan 7-inch cakes it would be a unique and memorable Mid-Autumn gift to share with your loved ones, family, or business associates.

Overall I love the cozy ambience, you can opt to sit inside the cafe which has comfy luxe sofas and chairs. Or opt to sit outside the cafe where you can enjoy the mall's view.
