Jom Rawat Bumi! If not now, when? Here is a recap about my recent Alam Flora Sustainability Hunt 2023 at FIKS, Fasiliti Inovasi Kitar Semula, Putrajaya. Had a great time and learning experience throughout the hunt together with all the sporting friends.

Well, this is the second year Alam Flora organized their sustainability hunt, last year was a Taman Tugu, Kuala Lumpur. Alam Flora Sustainability Hunt aims to encourage community participation in cultivating environmental conservation in daily lige through education.
We were split into groups and each of us have 5 assignments to complete. You can check out my Alam Flora Sustainability Hunt 2023 journey in the video here.
Assignment 1: Trash of Treasure
We were give 5 question during our online briefing before the event and required to bring all the items at home that can be recycle and sell it at the Buy Back Centre. Now you know that we can also generate money from recyclable trash.
For this assignment we have to complete it before the event day. Basically, upcycling project is to find two items that are no longer used at home and creative combine them to create one new practical item for everyday use.
Assignment 3: Go Green
Using tetra pack as plant container to plant herbs such as basil leaves that can be used for cooking.
Assignment 4: Recycle Master
We were given a bag od recyclable items and required to segregate them into their respective recycle categories. Mind you some can be tricky too, among 32 of us only 2 participants got it right.
Assignment 5: Sustainability Champion
For this assignment, we need to answer an interactive quiz related to sustainability to determine our understanding about carbon footprint based on lifestyle.
Overall, it was a fun learning experience about sustainability. you too can sell your recyclable items and turn them into cash. Let’s do our part and Jom Rawat Bumi for a better future.
