To all the durian lovers this is the season you get to enjoy your holiday at the same time feast your favourite durian buffet. Do you know that Malaysia, the native home of durian, is renowned for its extensive variety of durian, with currently 226 registered varieties.

The Durian Tourism starts from 30 May until 31 August 2023 with the cooperation of MARDI and 13 local tour operators by offering a total of 18 attractive packages as options for tourists.

The Durian Tourism 2023 package offer starts from RM50 per person for the durian buffet and the 3 Day 2 Night (3D2N) Package from RM1740 per person with a minimum booking of 15 people. There are many activities such as picking, feasting on durian and other fruits, preparing various ginger-based drinks, making tempoyak, plus the experience of living in the village.

The packages offered cover the states of Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Pahang and Johor. For this edition, Tourism Malaysia also took the initiative to market the Durian Tourism Packages abroad such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Brunei.
