Giving Back with Love by the Curve Creates Memorable Raya Celebration for Those in Need. The holy month of Ramadan is all about giving to those in need. In keeping with the mall’s annual tradition of spreading love and joy, the Curve organized a memorable day for 28 underprivileged children and their caretakers during this blessed month.

The children from Rumah Kesayangan Rukesa were welcomed with cozy kampung homes, a lush paddy field with scarecrows, and pangkin as they stepped into the Centre Court. Adorned as part of the Curve's Nostalgia Raya campaign, the mall erupted with excitement and joy as the youngsters explored and embraced the Raya mood.

Inspired by the nostalgia of cozy kampung homes set amid serene paddy fields, the Curve this year has recreated a setting to rekindle Malaysians’ fondest balik kampung memories.

A  life-sized three-dimensional rumah kampung nestled among a mock paddy field with decorative touches like scarecrows or orang-orang and a pangkin beautifully transformed the Centre Court into a charming Malay kampung scene.

The centerpiece of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri decor in the Curve’s Centre Court is a life-sized three-dimensional rumah kampung showcasing traditional architecture complete with verandah and furnished living area, depicting a typical village setting in Malaysia.  The rumah kampung is nestled among a mock paddy field with decorative touches like scarecrows or orang-orang and a pangkin which is commonly used as a gathering point for villagers, that magically transform the Centre Court into a charming Malay kampung scene.

The evening came into life as performers donning their vibrant costumes swayed to the beats of their specially choreographed dance performance, energized the children and set the tone for the rest of the night. The excitement skyrocketed when young dancers between the ages of 9 to 13 took the stage, showcasing their mesmerizing skills, leaving the audience in awe, culminating in a truly special moment as everyone moved to the rhythm.

Jazmi Kamarudin, Senior General Manager, Property Management & Investment of Boustead Properties Berhad, expressed his sincere gratitude for the opportunity to host the children at the mall. The kids' faces lit up with anticipation, wonder, and ultimately pure joy when they received their duit raya and goodie bag filled with baju raya, school bags and shoes courtesy of the Curve. Not only were the kids treated to gifts, but their caretakers also received hampers filled with much-needed grocery items. The excitement in the air was palpable as everyone enjoyed the memorable occasion.

The day out ended on an even more special note as the guests, along with the Curve management team, made their way to Me’nate Steak House for a mouth-watering buka puasa treat, featuring a fine selection of succulent meat and signature dishes. 

In addition to organizing a day out at the mall, the Boustead Properties team will be visiting Rumah Amal Cahaya Kasih, where they will be presenting gifts from the children’s wish list ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Themed Nostalgia Raya, the Curve’s Raya décor extends into the Fashion Court, Fashion Walk, and The Street, with visitors being immersed in the dazzle of fairy lights that add to the festive mood. Shoppers can experience the wonders of the Raya campaign at the Curve from March 25 to April 24, 2023.

From kids' dance performances, traditional instrumental performances to a children's workshop, parents with children will find the mall the perfect spot for fun and much-needed bonding time. The public can also join the meet and greet session with renowned local artist, Amy Search on April 15, 2023 at 6.00pm at the Curve’s Centre Court.

From March 25 to April 21, 2023, visitors who are fasting can head over to the Curve's Iftar Piazza between 3.00pm to 10.00pm. This special area provides tables and seating for those who prefer to rest and break their fast before heading home.

During the campaign period, shoppers at the Curve can look forward to exclusive "Gift of Nostalgia" giveaways. By spending a minimum of RM50, shoppers can redeem one K Plus Food Market cash voucher. Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM200 will receive a Nostalgia Raya packet, while those who spend a minimum of RM450 will receive a Nostalgia Raya packet along with a Dulang.
