This is the biggest annual music awards in the industry and has been hosted by the local newspaper Sports Seoul since 1990. The longest-running awards ceremonies, the 32nd Seoul Music Awards, will be held on 19 January 2023 at the Olympic Park’s Olympic Gymnastic Arena in Seoul, South Korea. 

During the event, artists of all genres, including ballads, hip-hop, R&B, and bands, are honoured for their professionalism and diversity over the past year. A list of nominees was announced on December 6, 2022, through the official website.

In order to boost views, the Seoul Music Awards partnered up with Yippi to air a Live broadcast for the public. This is a free broadcast via Yippi Live within the Yippi app.
