Review: Xinga Pot, the Best Hong Kong Style Hotpot Restaurant in PJ

Hey hotpot fans! Which one is your favourite hotpot restaurant? As you know my family and I love hotpot; we like to explore the new hotpot place in town. Recently we had a hearty meal at Xinga Pot, the Best Hong Kong Style Hotpot Restaurant in Petaling Jaya, Uptown.

Xinga pot is located near to Texas Chicken or RHB, Petaling Jaya. The restaurant is on the 1st floor spanning across 3 floors in total. As I walk-in I noticed their carefully designed Hong Kong themed settings, every detail from the wallpaper down to the chairs. I love their Hong Kong vintage style ambience, it gave me kind of classic feel and also the Hong Kong vibes as I entered the restaurant.

Chef Brandon Lai, founder and co-partner of Xinga Hotpot Restaurant, announced the grand opening of Xinga Pot Restaurant after long lockdown and a soft launch earlier has decided to fully open its doors to welcome all hotpot enthusiast on the 1st of December 2021.

You must try their Signature Golden Fish Tripe Chicken Soup which you could not find anywhere else. The signature golden silky soup goes through a rigorous 8 hours of boiling, with carefully selected ingredients giving the soup a robust richness of flavors and providing a different level of experience for the tastebuds. All their ingredients and condiments are freshly prepared and acquired, while their handmade pastes are freshly made.

As chef Brandon Lai explains ‘Our signature soup goes through a rigorous 8 hours of boiling, with carefully selected ingredients giving the soup a robust richness of flavors. The cooking process allows the distinctive flavor of each ingredient to be well bonded together, providing a different level of experience for the tastebuds.’

Apart from their Signature Golden Fish Tripe Chicken Soup, they also have other soup base such as Buddha Jump Over The Wall Pot, Shiaoxing Lala Prawn Pot, Peppery Pig Stomach Pot, Xinga Pot Premium Mala Pot, Mixed Mushroom Pot, Pickle Cabbage Pot, or you can opt for mix soup base too.

Aaron Kwok Room

There are 5 VIP rooms named after the 4 heavenly kings of Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok, with the 5th and biggest room named the ‘Coliseum’ fitting a maximum of 30 persons. All the VIP rooms come with karaoke, air condition, and good ventilation.

Overall, we had a great dining experience at Xinga Pot, I will recommend you to try their Signature Golden Fish Tripe Chicken Soup, the ingredients and condiments are fresh. Plus the restaurant is comfortable and services are tip top too.
