The Fastest Growing Convenience Store in Korea & in Malaysia

emart24 continues to redefine Malaysians’ convenience store experience all in its lifestyle-first concept. Keeping up with its distinction as Korea’s fastest-growing convenience store, emart24 launches its fifth outlet in Bandar Sunway – paving its way to be the fastest-growing Korean convenience store in Malaysia. This launch marks their second Reserve Store, no more than four months since its debut in June 2021.

Vuitton Pang, CEO of emart24 Malaysia said, “What remains our main priority is the quality of our offerings and the Korean retail experience our consumers get when they visit our store. With the eased restrictions now, we are hopeful for Malaysians to be able to come and experience our store for themselves whilst we work towards making Korean goods more accessible for all.”

Recognised for its consumer-first approach in Korea, emart24 carries through with its reputation in Malaysia. “We took our time to carefully evaluate what consumers want and we believe that it’s an important aspect to take into consideration when it comes to our expansion plans. Our Reserve Store in Bandar Sunway is truly the result of this progressive approach and we try to encapsulate the elements of this neighbourhood into our store design,” explained Vuitton.

Apart from extending a wider selection of imported Korean snacks from its popular No Brand, I’m e, and Minsaeng private labels, emart24 continues to introduce new menu items for their fresh food selection. Specifically for this Reserve Store in Bandar Sunway, catering to its student opulation, a newly conceptualised ‘Cupmyeon’ station allows customers to create their own rendition of Korean cup noodles with a variety of topping options.

In addition, Vuitton continues, “We couldn’t miss the chance of championing Malaysians' love for all things spicy which brings about our latest offering of the Ghost Pepper sauce.” The Ghost Pepper sauce features in key fresh food items, namely the Cupbap, Cupdak and Tteokbokki, which are available across all emart24 outlets for a limited time.

Also making its first appearance as a Reserve Store exclusive is a new line of Lunchbox Cakes, a rising star dessert trending amongst the younger crowd. As Vuitton emphasises again, emart24 aims to be at the forefront for all things trendy by bringing forth in-demand goods without straying far from the Korean retail experience.

In terms of food safety and quality, emart24 is committed to ensuring that all ingredients used for fresh food and ready-to-eat meals are sourced from Halal-certified suppliers.

Beyond food, customers can also enjoy an extensive range of K-beauty products which are made available through their long-standing collaboration with OnlyKorea, an authorised distributor of authentic imported K-beauty products, known to be one of the leading K-beauty retailing groups in Asia.

In his closing remark, Vuitton says, “We are a trendy lifestyle convenience store and we are continuously putting work towards maintaining this footing in the Korean convenience store scene.”

Following the success of its early stores and the ever-growing Hallyu wave in Malaysia, emart24 plans to open 12 stores by year end, which is in line with their targeted 300 outlets to be launched over the next 5 years. We can now visit emart24 in Bangsar South, Desa Sri Hartamas, Kota Kemuning, Sentul and Bandar Sunway from 8am to 10pm, daily.
