Even if iPhone 12 has been out for a while, it remains the best choice for the ones that are long overdue for an upgrade. There is plenty to love about it and due to its impressive hardware, the iPhone 12 will continue to perform admirably for many years to come. The dilemma comes from which version to choose. The iPhone 12 Pro full specs may not tell the full story but it may be the right choice for some over the standard version.

Display
If we were to put the Pro version side by side with the standard one, not much difference can be observed on the front side. Both use the same display size. The iPhone 12 Pro uses a Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR10+. The resolution remains the same. It is an 1170 by 2532 display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 460 ppi density. One aspect that is different and some will not observe is that the iPhone 12 Pro has better brightness with its 800 nits (typ).
Platform
What remains hidden beneath the display is the same for both
phones. According to the iPhone 12 Pro full specs, you will get the Apple A14
Bionic chip powered by a Hexa-core CPU and the Apple proprietary GPU. This
means top performance regardless of which version of iPhone you choose.
Storage and RAM
For storage and RAM, things are a bit different. The iPhone
12 Pro gets 2 GB more RAM for a total of 6 GB and the cheapest version starts
with 128 GB of NVMe internal storage. The top-specced one has 512 GB of
internal storage.
Cameras
On the front, Apple used the same 12 MP, f/2.2 aperture
selfie camera across all models, not just the Pro. The rear camera setup is a
bit different. It has one extra camera for telephoto. It is a 12 MP, f/2.0
aperture camera. It can record in 4K at up to 60 fps and has a super slow mode
that can be recorded at 120 or 240 fps.
Battery
The battery is a single 2815 mAh Li-Ion cell. Looking at the
iPhone 12 Pro full specs, we see that the device can charge at 20 watts and can
reach 50% charge in 30 minutes. While the charging speed is not as fast as what
some Android devices can do, it is still reasonably fast.
Color Options
Even if the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro may look almost identical, you do not get the same colors for both. While the iPhone 12 is available in just black, white, red, green, purple, and blue, the Pro version can be purchased in silver, graphite, gold, and Pacific blue.
The iPhone 12 Pro is not for everyone. Just because it is a bit more expensive does not make it a reasonable choice unless you are really into photos or you are what some would call a power user. The extra RAM and third rear camera may not offer much benefit for an average user. The iPhone 12 Pro full specs do not tell of a considerable difference between the Pro and the standard version.
