With that in mind, Bernard Cassière sets out to objectively develop a multi-action skincare line that works on internal and external factors from Protecting, Repairing, Nourishing and bringing out the natural beauty of the skin, integrating this into the consumer’s lifestyle.

SPIRULINA, the key ingredient in this line is a spiral-shaped micro-algae found in freshwater that is used to fight oxidative stress. Classified as a super-food, it is rich in vegetable proteins (richer than soy), Pro-vitamin A (slows down ageing), B12 (fights against nerve degeneration) and vitamin E. It is also packed with Chlorophyll, essential fatty acids specifically omega, polysaccharides and minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus).

Another key ingredient used is the flower of the BUTTERFLY BUSH, which is a photoprotective ingredient derived from the flower of Buddleja officinalis with its main function of fighting and protecting against and Blue Light (digital pollution) that leads to appearance of ageing signs.

There are two sources where the blue light comes from, Natural: part of the white light emitted by the sun and artificial: LED, blubs, TV screens, computers and smartphones. HEV (or blue light) penetrates deep into the skin layers, accelerating skin ageing while altering the molecule structure of the skin. 

With this protection derived from BUTTERFLY BUSH, it helps to slow-down the skin ageing by limiting the production of free radicals by the cells exposed to blue light radiation. This ingredient also helps to protect the skin barrier from the degradation of the lipids induced by light exposure, reduce inflammation of the skin and reduces dark spots.

Bernard Cassière also recognizes the need to play a role in the environment and have taken proactive steps in reducing the amount of plastics used. This range marks the launch of the 1st refillable cream where customers can reuse the jar just buying the ECO-REFILL replacements of the cream. 

Other steps taken in terms of packaging is the use only recycled materials and the ink of the paper packaging are made from vegetal ink. Products will also no longer be wrapped in plastics and only recyclable cartons are used. These are some of the efforts Bernard Cassière has changed to be in line with one of their objective in playing a role in saving the environment.
