PETROSAINS PlaySmart Kuantan To Resume Operation

After several months of temporary closure, Petrosains PlaySmart at the Pahang Public Library Corporation in Kuantan will reopen its doors to the public on Wednesday, 3 March 2021. Its operation hours will be from 9.00am to 4.00pm from Monday to Friday. It will be closed for breaks from 1.00pm to 2.00pm on Monday to Thursday and 12.00pm to 2.30pm every Friday. Petrosains PlaySmart is closed on weekends and public holidays.

With the re-opening, Petrosains PlaySmart is committed to ensure the health and safety of its visitors. Petrosains PlaySmart has taken all the necessary measures to prepare for the operations of the centre and ensure a very safe and secure environment for everyone during their visit. 

It has conducted stringent sanitizing and disinfecting and ensured all staff to undergo COVID-19 testing prior to the opening. It will also be implementing precautionary measures to help prevent the risk of exposure in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the Government authorities. 

Among the measures taken are limiting its operation hours, capping the number of visitors daily to facilitate crowd control and imposing physical distancing measures.

Visitors will also be required to register using the MySejahtera app, complete a health declaration form, and undergo temperature screening before entering the premises. Visitors of all ages must wear a face mask at all times and practice good personal hygiene with hand sanitizers provided for use throughout the centre. 

Petrosains PlaySmart looks forward to welcoming visitors back to its premises and hopes to provide a fun and educational visit experience with added safety measures.
