A well-known Malaysian coffee brand was born in Melaka 65 years ago, Aik Cheong Coffee was founded in 1955. Aik Cheong Coffee’s instant beverage products range from Black Coffee, White Coffee, Milk Tea (Teh Tarik), Hot Chocolate, and more are always the local’s favourite drinks as well as mine.

Well, Aik Cheong Coffee has always had the concept of “Enjoying the great taste of coffee at home” and recently they have successfully rolled out the new trend of ‘Hot Cup’ instant beverage which is called “IT’S more than just” products since June 2019. I’m trying the Nicaragua Jinotega, love the smooth-bodied with a hint of caramel and chocolate sweetness at the end. It’s a perfect cup for people who love black coffee like me anytime and anywhere.

How To Brew Aik Cheong Coffee Black Drip Series

Step 1: Begin pouring water slowly toward the center of the grounds. Stop pouring when the scale reaches 20grams. Give the coffee 30 seconds to drip before moving on to the second pour.

Step 2: Starting in the center of the grounds. Pour in a steady spiral toward the center using smaller pulses. Add roughly 40 grams, bring the total to 60 grams. Let it drip for another 30 sec Pour 3: Starting the outer rim and moving in a steady spiral toward the center of the grounds using medium pulses. This pour adds another 40 grams, bringing the total to 100 grams. Allow 30-45 seconds to elapse. Pour 4: Lastly, using bigger pulses of 50 grams to hit the coffee bed hard. This brings the total up to 150 grams and should take another 30-45 seconds.
