ZHAN ART Space Turns One with Golden Exhibition

ZHAN Art | Space, an art space dedicated to supporting emerging Malaysian artists celebrates its one-year anniversary with the opening reception of “GOLD”, a theme chosen as the color and element are synonymous globally with luxury, wealth, prosperity and success. In opting for gold as an anniversary theme, it is envisioned that both ZHAN Art | Space and the many artists it works with will have a bright shiny new year ahead.

ZHAN ART Space Turns One with Golden Exhibition 

ZHAN Art | Space Founder, Desmond Tong, shared that the art space has received tremendous support from the public since its establishment. To date, the art space has hosted numerous art shows including Bono Stellar’s first solo show Eudamonia, Unamed Collective’s group art installation Illegitimate, as well as artworks curated from over 35 different artists. 

  

“ZHAN Art | Space has always been about empowering and supporting emerging talents to reach their ultimate potential. Over the past year, we have seen artists flourish and push the boundaries to redefine the meaning of contemporary art. We will continue to support this vision and look forward to seeing what the young talents will bring to the table,” said Desmond.

To add a sweet touch to the anniversary party, homegrown artisan chocolate Harriston Chocolatier was invited to showcase their signature ruby chocolate, while RabbitSoftserve provided guests delicious watermelon-flavor soft serve with a touch of golden rocks. GOLD runs from 9 March to 4 April.
