Hey! Are you into ecotourism and adventure
trip? Well, beginning of March, I joined #Back2Nature FAM Trip organized by Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Sembilan. It was #Back2Nature Series 1: Kenaboi State
Park / Taman Negeri Kenaboi Eco-Tourism Trip. With that, I would like to share
with you our exciting 4 Days 3 Nights program and itinerary.
Well, for me, it’s the simple
things in life which are the real ones after all. However, we often forget, we
often take the beauty of nature for granted such as the sunshine, greenery,
fresh air, and even the clouds. Because we see them so often, till one day they
might be gone. This #Back2Nature adventure and camp trip reminded me that it’s
the little things in life that matter. Be grateful!
The Hanging Bridge / Jambatan Tergantung at Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan |
Let’s get started! #Back2Nature Series
1 Kenaboi State Park trip was on from 3rd to 6th March
2020. Here’s our 4D3N itinerary
Jeram Toi Waterfalls, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan |
Day 1
We gathered at KL Sentral and then
took the coach heading to Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan. On
the way, we stopped over at Jeram Toi Waterfalls and then adjourned to Kenaboi
State Park for lunch and briefing. We were then assigned to our respective camp
to freshen-up, my campmates were Megumi from Japan and Yuffie Malaysian Media.
Sharing this camp with 2 others from Japan and Malaysia at Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan |
After lunch, we had the chance to
watch and learned about Tree Climbing Demonstration and Seed
Collection demonstration of Meranti Tree. Before the sunset, we headed to
Lata Kijang Waterfall by 4x4 and spent time admiring the beauty of nature and surroundings.
I will elaborate more about Lata Kijang Waterfalls in a separate post. After dinner, we gathered at the campfire for a casual and fun ice-breaking session. Glad to know many international media also participated in this FAM Trip besides the local Media, bloggers, and influencers.

Some challenges to swim against the water current at Jeram Berungut, Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan |
Day 2
We started our Day 2 with a more intense
adventure. It's nonetheless than trekking to Jeram Berungut and experience the
water confidence against the current. It was challenging too. Along the way, we
stopped to release about 2000 fishes to the river to protect the ecosystem. The
types of fishes that were released were Lampan Sungai and Terbol.
Trekking to Jeram Berungut, Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan |
After spending hours exploring
Jeram Berungut, we stopped over at the Survival Village to learn the tips and
tricks how to survive in the jungle by using all items that we could find
around us. At the same time, we also tasted some basic food that we can cook in
the jungle. A good learning experience indeed to equip ourselves with survival
knowledge because we might not know when we need it.
After that we trekked back to our
campsite for lunch and then have some fun time and Water Tubing at Sungai
Kenaboi. After dinner, there were supposed to be Forest Night activities but it
was canceled due to heavy downpour so we head over to the Main Hall for a
press conference with YBhg. Tuan Haji Saleh bin Awaludin, Pengarah Perhutanan
Negeri Sembilan.
Day 3
After breakfast, we packed and
check out our campsite and then head over to Kampung Tohor, Orang Asli Village.
Over there we learned about their culture such as wedding ceremony, traditional
dance, music, and how to sumpit. Besides, they also showed us some of the herbs
and their local food.
We stopped over at Lapau Makmok (means Warung Makmok) in Kampung Gagu
for lunch and then adjourned to Muzium Adat Jelebu or Custom Museum to learn about
the heritage and tradition of the Malaysian community. We had our tea-break at
the museum, love the Satay Tulang Ayam, Ais Janda Pulang, and Apam Johol that
they served.
Cultural Night and Farewell Dinner at Palm Seremban Hotel, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan |
After that, we headed to Seremban
and check-in Palm Seremban Hotel and followed by Cultural Night or farewell at
the ballroom.
Day 4
Check-out Palm Seremban Hotel and
back to Kuala Lumpur. Bye... till we meet again soon.
