Recently we went to MOMOChan @ The Square, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya to try out their Christmas Menu 2019. It’s a pork-free fusion Japanese Restaurant and we also found out that it’s a pet-friendly restaurant. Well, there are two sections in the restaurant, the main dining hall and also another section for those who bring their pet.

An interesting starter, Shiitake Mushroom stuffed with chicken breast and deep-fried then topped with a special Nanban sauce. I like the shiitake mushroom smooth and spongy texture and the chicken breast is tender and juicy.

This is my favourite, it’s a simple plain Chwanmushi in silky, smooth and slightly thick texture than the usual. I love the combination of soy sauce, savoury dashi stock and of course the Yuzu Chili kicks.

This fragrant and flavourful deep-fried chicken wings is one of my favourite starters, simply delish! I love chicken wings and these Japanese Karage Winglets is specially marinated with soy sauce, sake and ginger. Fried to perfection, fragrant, flavourful, crispy and not oily.

Christmas Beef Special is 150g Australian Tenderloin pan seared, sous vide, then char grilled with Japanese Ponzu Sauce and gratted raddish. The tenderloin is cook to perfection, medium rare in the middle, juicy and tender drizzle with ponzu sauce and served with arugula.

This is special prepared for vegetarian or those who prefer to have a vegetarian dish. I pretty much like this simple, hearty and healthy pasta. The Japanese noodle pasta with tomato and pumpkin puree base is light, topped along with enoki mushroom tempura. This vegetarian Japanese pasta flavor is moderate and portion is decent.
