Thailand is a great vacation
destination due to its numerous tourist attractions. Although it offers several
beautiful islands, Koh Samui seems to be the most popular among them, probably
because the international airport therein makes it more accessible than other
islands. Aside from the airport, another feature that attracts tourists to the
island is it's numerous beautiful, quiet, and not-so-developed beaches.
Koh Samui gives you a variety of
beach options. To even make it more homely, there are many restaurants and bars
on all the beaches so, food and drinks will not be a problem. With the
well-equipped holiday villas in Koh Samui, your family will feel at home on the
island. There are beachfront villas and the ones beside the beach. You may also
opt for one of the villas with garden and pool view or the ones with panoramic
sea view.
Nothing is as pleasurable as
taking an evening breeze at beachfront with a hot cup of coffee or your
favorite beer and watching your kids play around. Add great music from your
earpiece to the package and you are already in paradise. Do you still wonder
why Koh Samui is a perfect family vacation destination? Probably not. Here are
some of what Koh Samui has to offer.
Spend some hours at Chaweng Beach
If there is anything that the
island has in abundance, it is the beaches. But Chaweng Beach is the most
popular one because of its selection of restaurants and bars and its long
stretches of clean sand. In addition, it offers more resorts and hotels than other
beaches. Its nightlife is another selling point. This is why tourists believe that Chaweng Beach does not sleep.
See the Big Buddha at Bang Rak
This is another beach and what
makes it unique is the Big Buddha shrine on the beach. This is why the beach is
sometimes called the Big Buddha Beach. In addition, there are local restaurants
and midrange resorts on the beach. Most importantly, it is quite close to
Chaweng Beach. If you prefer a location that is super-quiet all through the
day, you may choose this beach over Chaweng Beach.
Apart from these two beaches,
others are Lamai Beach, Bo Phut Beach, Mae Nam Beach, Taling Ngam Beach, and
Choeng Mon Beach. They all have restaurants, bars, and all kinds of resorts and
they offer several water activities like snorkeling. You probably think beaches
are the only attraction Koh Samui offers, right? No, it offers more.
Check out the Secret Buddha
Garden
You probably have not heard of
this. That is because it is hidden in the interior of the island. It offers numerous
statues surrounded by lush vegetation. The garden was said to have been built
by a Samui fruit farmer. He was the one who erected the statues. Won’t it be
nice to take a couple of photographs of the statues and also take some selfies
with them?
Take a shower at Na Muang
Waterfalls
While the island has several
waterfalls, Na Muang’s couple of waterfalls seem to be the most picturesque. It
has a beautiful massive purple rock at the waterfalls. You simply can’t miss
it. The best feature of the waterfalls is the large pool that is at the base of
the falls.
Lodging in a beachfront villa,
with the opportunity to play on several beaches, enjoying a few hours of
swimming session at the Na Muang waterfalls, and hanging with the statues in
the Secret Buddha Garden is an amazing combination. You will get even more in
Koh Samui.
