Starting 2019 Right! Celebrated New Year’s Eve @ CITTA Mall

Yeah!!! Where did you go on New Year’s Eve??? You know on 31^st Dec evening, I braved the rain to celebrate New Year’s Eve @ CITTA Mall. Eh… it’s not only me, despite the evening showers, thousands also flocked to the stage to join in the fun with performances by both local, international talents and also fireworks. Starting 2019 Right! Celebrated New Year’s Eve @ CITTA Mall

I was there around 9pm, that time there was a bit of drizzling and the performances have already started. The crowd slowly build up and by 1030pm the rain stopped and that’s the time the crowd from the shopping mall moved to the stage area, the open space car park. That evening the F&B outlet also extended their operating hours till late.

That night we were entreated to electrifying performances by personalities such as K-Pop sensation MASC, who drove fans into a screaming frenzy with every twirl on stage, Nadir, an ethno-fusion band that roused the crowd with a medley of familiar tunes, and Rax Teh, who rolled in the deep with his rendition of Adele’s breakout song.

There were a good mixture of fans and families who brought their children for the countdown and fireworks plus welcomed welcome the New Year in a more relaxed environment, instead of succumbing to heavy traffic and rowdy crowds in the capital.

Rejuvenate Dance Crew (RJVN) rocked the stage with exhilarating choreographies

Host Baki Zainal returned to CITTA Mall for the third year running, enlivening the scene with his trademark tongue-in-cheek energy and tossing out coveted backstage passes to a sea of outstretched hands.

As the night got closer to 12am the stage became hotter with performances from K-Pop sensation MASC and Kilafairy plus in between artist sets, dance crews such as Untitled Dance Crew, DayDream, and New Year’s Eve staple Rejuvenate Dance Crew (RJVN) rocked the stage with exhilarating choreographies.

The biggest cheer of the night, though, was reserved for headliner Kilafairy when she took the stage with her dance troupe, right before the final act of the night, which was the fireworks display.

And… when the clock ticked 12am, we were mesmerized with the non-stop 3-minute fireworks display! It was spectacular as the fireworks was just above us not block by any tall building.

Overall it was a memorable night and New Year's Eve party at CITTA Mall. And now let's work smart and work hard to achieve our goals for 2019. All the best and may all of us have a blessed year ahead!
