Have you been to
Guangxi before? I am sure that Guangdong is more familiar for most of us. I
have been to Guangdong but not yet to Guangxi, maybe soon. Guangxi province is located at the South of
China, the capital is Nanning which is known a “Green City” because of its
lush, tropical foliage. Guangxi is just next to Gunagdong in the east; Hunan in
the north, Yunnan and Guizhou in the South West.

Recently, we were privileged
to attend the Guangxi Tourism activities organized by the Guangxi Autonomous
Region Tourism Development Commission at Summit 1, The Vertical, Bangsar South
City.
Well, this event is themed “East Or West Guangxi Landscape Is The Best”, Malaysians visitors were able to learnt about the charms of the “Beautiful Scenery in Guangxi” via 6 fascinating short films titled “Lao, Shao, Bian, Shan, Hai, Shou”.
Another native product unique to the Guangxi province, these Sea Duck Eggs boast a distinctive taste and nutrients from the diet of the ducks which consists of small fishes and prawns. |
During the
occasion, organizers also presented remarkable Guangxi traditional folk music
and dances. From these performances, visitors were shown the beauty of folk
customs, mysterious ancient cultures as well as the appeal of a hometown of
longevity.

We also learnt
about the specialties from Guangxi such as Liu Bao Cha that has a unique flavor
and it’s good for relieving summer heat, help digestion and relaxation. Plus
their delicacies such as the big size Hepu Mooncake, the sea duck eggs, rohan
fruits, river snails rice noodles and more.
A wide array of different Guangxi native
products are displayed, these include the Rohan fruit, Sea Duck Eggs, Hepu
mooncakes and the River Snail Rice Noodles.

Besides that, the
event also incorporated a clever usage of technological and fashion aesthetics.
The whole event was livened up through mobile live broadcasts thru the app,
interactive activities, games plus attractive prizes.
The Rohan fruit is also known as the “fairy
fruit”, it is widely regarded for its high nutritional value and as a remedy to
treat coughs.

Hu Jing Bo, the
Deputy Director of the Tourism Commission, along with the Malaysian Ministry of
Tourism, tourism agencies, and industrial representatives, were also there. It
is believed that this activity could build an even tighter bond between the
Malaysian and Guangxi China tourism industries, and create potential exchange
of resources in the future.

Well, after get to
know about Guangxi’s rich culture, places, food and so much more. I am excited
and wish that I could visit Guangxi personally and share with you all my
experience there. Here we come!
