International Borneo Fest 2018 happening on 25th and 26th
June at Suria KLCC showcasing and honouring the rich culture and
heritage of Sabah and Sarawak. Also check out the up-coming Rainforest World Music Festival in Kuching, Sawarak. This is the second
year Suria KLCC collaborates with Sabah and Sarawak Heritage Association of
Kuala Lumpur & Selangor to have the first leg of the International Bornet
Fest 2018. The fest also promotes Beauty in Ethnic Diversity and the final leg
will be held in London on 2nd December, 2018.

The fest showcased
the astounding heritage of Sabah and Sarawak such as the ethnic group at the two
states, arts, crafts, cultural, food, music and fashion.

The International
Borneo Fest 2018 was officiated by Yang Berhormat Ms.
Teresa Kok, Member of Parliament for Seputeh; Datuk Haji Hashim Wahir, Kumpulan
Suria KLCC Chairman; Dr. Lawrence John & Mr. Benedict Jimbau, Chairman
& Advisor of Sabah and Sarawak Heritage Association of Kuala Lumpur &
Selagor; Mr Ben Chong, Marketing Director of Tourism Sarawak; and Mr. Ben
Chong, Suria KLCC General Manager.

The main highlight
of this fest is Miss and Mister Ambasaador, to be held on the first day of raya
and the results will be announced on the second the second day. The ethnic
dance and tari competition will be held on 26th June, 2018 and 13
teams will compete in the competition.

The drama tari performance,
meanwhile, revolves around legend sand myth within the ethnic groups in Borneo.
Among them are Iban’s Bunsu Telanjing & Ngauk Ai, Bidayuh’s Rejang Be’uh &
Sigar Nyikoh Jojak, Dusun’s Sumirid and Kadazan’s Sazau Papar.

10 booths have been
set up to display locally produced products from various ethnics of Sabah and Sarawak
at the International Borneo Fest 2018 at Suria KLCC from 10am to 10pm.

You also have a
chance to own a piece of Borneo designer products and enjoy fashion show. Among
the designers are Godffrey Sylvester, Farhan Mazen, Lucy, Cindy, Zulhan Jon,
Teo, Maryneth Juanis, Allen, Meleni , Arina and Ahmad Fikri.
