Meet Le Le, The Giant Panda @ Ocean Park Hong Kong

Well, Meet the Giant Panda Programme was one of the most memorable experience for me during my recent trip to Ocean Park Hong Kong to experience their Christmas Sensation 2017 attractions apart from the Hong Kong's First VR Rollercoaster Ride. Meet the Giant Panda is also one of the park experiences to get closer to the animals as part of the park's initiatives to offer entertainment with education and conservation.

Meet Le Le The Giant Panda @ Ocean Park Hong Kong

On the second day, we went to the park again and this time is was quite early before the park opened to the public. Then we went to Mountain and River Classroom, over there we were briefed about the Panda Conservation, Le Le The Giant Panda, the dos and don’ts plus the rules and regulations before we enter.

Are you ready to meet Le Le, The Giant Panda?

Basically, we were given a cute Panda apron to put on, removed all our jewelries and metal items on our body including our watch, tided up our hair and then we have to pass our camera or handphone to the animal keeper, they will help us to take photos. There are lockers to keep our bags and stuff.

Busy Preparing Food for Panda

Before we enter, we have step into chemical to disinfect our shoes base and then we moved to the kitchen area to learn how to prepare food for panda. Hygiene is very important, remember to wash hand with the hand wash prepared and also wear gloves when preparing the food or treats for Le Le.

Done! and then we are ready to meet Le Le the giant panda, so excited. After that we toured around, get to know about panda’s food, shelter and we also had be fun interactive games to play which enlighten us about wild pandas and their conservation.

Meet Le Le, The Giant Panda @ Ocean Park Hong Kong

The time of the visit is from 9:15am to 10:15am it is available on Saturday & Sunday. Gathering Point is at the Conservation Kiosk next to Ticketing Office, Main Entrance. There is only one session per day and limit to 8 participants per session. Kindly take note that there is no accompanying guest is allowed. All applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

You are advised to wear pants, wear sports shoes or covered shoes because it is more convenient when you have to squad down when you meet the giant panda. And take note that you will not have any physical interaction with the animals.
