What is your first impression when I mentioned the name Harumi 23? The restaurant name has a meaning behind it, Harumi 23 means district and there are 23 district in Tokyo, Japan therefore Harume 23 represents the 23 districts in Tokyo.
Now let's check out what menu they served? Well, when I was browsing their menu I discovered that the restaurant actually serves quite a varieties of Japanese food from sashimi, to yakitori, sushi, tempura, don, pasta and not forgetting their Japanese desserts and coffees. Most of the dishes on the menu are modern Tokyo Cuisine from imported, quality and fresh ingredients. Itadakimasu!

Oh yes! Sashimi is my
all-time favourite, how about you? Harumi 23's sashimi and fresh ingredients are freshly
air-flown from Tsukiji Market, Tokyo twice a week. Every bite is fresh and quality. I like the fresh salmon, its so smooth and just melt in my mouth. The Sashimi Moriawase comes in
3 kinds or 6 kinds such as salmon, salmon belly, tuna, tuna belly, kampachi and
tako.

This is another
dish that you must try! Mentai King Prawn is big, juicy, succulent and fresh that
comes with generous roe as well. I like this aromatic and flavourful grilled prawn, makes me salivate everything I think of this dish. I wish I can have more.

Harumi
Dobin Mushi, an authentic dashi soup in a teapot made by steeping Kombu (kelp) and
katsuoboshi (dried bonito flakes). Enjoy the delicate taste of real sweetness from all the ingredients. Sipping the soup from a teacup reminds me to enjoy my meal slowly and appreciate all the details when the chef preparing all the dishes in the kitchen. By the way, you can also add a dash of lime or go original; I prefer have it original so that I can taste the sweetness of all the ingredients.

Any yakitori kaki here? I like yakitori with my beer, especially for happy hour. Anyway this Butakushi, thinly
sliced organic Japanese pork belly grilled to perfection on a traditional
Japanese yakitori grill. Wow have you tried organic Japanese pork before? If not yet, the next time you go to Harumi 23 try this dish. The belly meat is so smooth and additive.

Macha
Kakigori @ RM 23.90
MUST TRY! Well if you can't make up your mind what dessert you want after your meal, I will recommend you top try this Macha Kakigori. Matcha is my favourite be it in tea, ice cream, cakes or desserts. This Macha Kakigori is a combination of soft fluffy
shaved ice topped with match ice cream, mochi, azuki beans, matcha syrup and
milk. Mind you the portion is quite generous, is best for sharing unless you are the real dessert lovers.
Hojo Premium Mountain Hojicha from Uji Sencha Jubuzan @ RM 11.90 |
We had quite a lot of dishes on that day; the food at Harumi 23 is satisfying where every dish is well prepared and delicious, plus their portion is fairly generous too. The restaurant ambience resembles of what I had in Tokyo; with minimalist décor. Their service is quite fast despite the restaurant is pretty busy on weekend. Overall it was a good dining experience and yes I would like to go back again with my
family, after all we also love to hangout in Desa ParkCity on weekend.
