Our
first stop is Sok Sak Beach Resort the velvety white sandy beach, turquoise clear
water, verdant forest and scintillating sunshine. It’s a serenity tropical gate
away off the coast of Cambodia; a Khmer-style beach resort with tasteful blend
of nature and comfort.
Sok San Beach Resort, Koh Rong Island |
Sok San
Beach Resort started as a base camp to house the French Survivor Crew (Survivor
France is Koh Lanta). It was built in January 2013 but they started their first
filming here on Koh Rong in 2012. It was the first French Survivor, Koh Lanta.

Snorkeling
in Koh Rong Island
No words
can explain the feeling of submitting yourself to the sea... the peacefulness
and full concentration of the nature front of you. There are quite a lot of sea
urchins, fishes and coral. From Sok San Beach Resort, there is speed boat takes
you to nearby islands and back.
Snorkeling in Koh Rong Island |
As
mentioned on my previous post, remember to splash, spray or slab extra sunblock
on the face and body before jump in the water to avoid sun burn after that. You can book your snorkeling trip at Sok San Beach Resort also.
Koh Rong Sanloem Island
Koh Rong Sanloem Island |
Koh Rong
Sanloem Island
This is
also another popular island in Cambodia, Koh
Rong Samloem is a relaxing and peaceful 'getaway' destination which is much
more tranquil and also much less commercial the larger island known as Koh Rong
situated about a ten-minute boat ride to the north.
Koh Rong Sanloem Island |
The
beach is not crowded so you feel more relax, enjoy the beauty beach with no
traffic, no cars, no roads. However the island has many instagram worthy spot
for photos and also video. The main beaches in Koh Rong Samloem are the Saracen
Bay and Mpay Bay.
Along
the beach there are swings and hammocks on the sea for photos, this place is becoming more and more popular because of social media. Alternatively you can
also opt to stay a night in this island, there are several types of hotels, villas and bungalows.
Koh Touch Village
Koh Touch Village |
Koh Touch Village
The Koh
Touch Pier is a kind of a hip place and also for those who would like to
socialize with other travelers. At the same time enjoy Koh Rong’s dreamy beaches with beer or cocktail in hand. There are plenty of beach side restaurants and bars, and
there is even a sky bar that sits several flights of stairs into the jungle,
where visitors can get some of the best views of the ocean.
Koh Touch Village |
Those looking for
something a bit more secluded should steer clear of the Koh Touch Pier on Koh
Rong. There are plenty of bungalows around the island not found at this busy
pier that are perfect for those travelers seeking something a bit more tranquil.
That’s about it for Island Hopping in Koh Rong, Sok San Beach, Koh Rong Sanloem & Koh
Touch Village in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Hope that you get some insights and guide on
how to get there, what to expect and what to do there. Have you have a
wonderful trip.

Chicken Lasagne hot meal on board AirAsia flight from Sihanoukville to Kuala Lumpur |
On my flight back from Sihanoukville to Kuala Lumpur; I tried Chicken Lasagne for lunch on board. The portion is quite generous and comes
with chucky vegetables. When you book your flight don’t forget to pre-book your inflight meals as well; you'll get your meal faster and cheaper compared to when you
order on board.
