2017 Limited Edition K-Beauty Makeup Collection
As you
know every year Sulwhasoo, the luxury holistic beauty brand from Korea,
presents its Limited Edition collectibles by collaborating with the Korean art
of tradition and modernity. Last weekend we were at Suwhasoo’s K-Beauty Pop Up
Store at Dazzling Café in Mid Valley Megamall to check out the Bloom From
Within 2017 Limited Edition Makeup Collection.

In 2016,
Sulwhasoo debuted the K-Beauty Collection, celebrating ‘natural beauty with a tinge of colour’, inspired
by the dewy glow and natural radiance—a hugely popular beauty trend in Korea.
The collection comprised the Makeup Balancer, Essential Concealer Stick,
Radiance Blusher, Essential Lip Serum Stick, and The Signature Perfecting
Cushion and Perfecting Cushion Brightening—all the essentials to achieve radiant,
flawless skin while keeping it natural.

This
year, anticipate the launch of new additions to the K-Beauty Collection with
the theme ‘Bloom from Within’ #BloomfromWithin in July—the Perfecting Cushion
and Perfecting Cushion Brightening Limited Edition, three new Essential Lip
Serum Stick colours, and a new Makeup Balancer colour.

For the
2017 limited edition, Sulwhasoo collaborates with a Korean modern style folk painting
artist, Ji Youn Hong, showcasing the theme of the Golden Bird, a symbol of luck
and happiness, which brings you joy and prosperity. The scene is a pair of
lively Golden Birds playing atop flowers in bloom, while a single red string
connects the two together. Bring joy and prosperity wherever you go, with the
warmth of Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Limited Edition.

Perfecting Cushion is an all-in-one cushion compact which has sunscreen SPF 50
PA+++ and multiple skincare benefits. It consists of Apricot Kernel Oil complex
and JAUM Balancing Complexᵀᴹ, which prevents collagen breakdown,
delivers long-lasting hydration, improves skin elasticity, and promises healthy
glow and revitalizing radiance. The watercolor technology provides perfect coverage
while reducing lines, wrinkles and spots. The film-fixing polymer technology
forms a thin protective barrier on the skin to leave the skin flawless and smooth
for up to 12 hours.

The
Perfecting Cushion Brightening offers medium coverage with an instant
brightening effect with white magnolia extract and mother-of-pearl complex
described in the old medical textbook Donguibogam (Principles and Practice of
Eastern Medicine) as key ingredients for radiant complexion and glowing skin.
It also uses the Oil Capture System, which is effective in capturing and absorbing
unnecessary oil, to give a smooth skin-fitting finish without leaving a sticky
feeling. It is perfect for summer to protect the skin against UV rays, giving
it a non-stick, lightweight and soft matte finish.

Essential Lip Serum Stick is a tinted lip balm with a rich texture that glides
on the lips to moisturize, nourish and plump up the lips. Camellia oil and
safflower complex relieve lip dryness to form a double layer of moisture that
keeps the lips moisturized for a long time. Apricot kernel oil and elastic
complex fill the surface of the lips to leave them looking plump and vibrant,
while red apricot extract adds more natural color and shine to the lips.
The 3 additional colours for 2017 such as No. 6 Sweet Pink, No. 7 Deep Berry, and No. 8 Soft Rose. These new
additions have a deeper vitality of the plum blossoms, made with subdued colour
formation to create the healthiest and most natural-looking lip colour.Spread
as if filling in the direction of the lip’s vertical wrinkles to fix the lip
line. Then, apply once more on the inside of the lips for more color.

Radiance Blusher contains three shades: main blusher to give skin exquisite
radiance, darker pink to control shade intensity and the light pink shade for
highlighting effect. Radiance Blusher uses Bloominous Pearl Powder, which
reflects a tint of red and light to make the skin feel fresh and radiant in a beautiful
bloom, like red plum blossom. Sulwhasoo Radiance Blusher is available in two
colors: #1 Pink Harmony for a radiant youthful look and #2 Coral Harmony for a
natural healthy look
