What to
expect at the 4 days Mini Thailand Week 2017 in One Utama Shopping Centre? Well 28 companies from
Thailand participated in this year Mini Thailand Week themed “Urban Lifestyle”.

There is no doubt that Thailand offers a great selection of products and a wide
range of Thai premier lifestyle products; from hand-made pewter, home ware,
decorative items, handicrafts to fabrics, fashion items and also beauty
products. And not forgetting Thai food and beverages plus some of their treats
and snacks.

Mini
Thailand Week was first launched in 2009 by the Department of International
Trade Promotion under Thailand's Ministry of Commerce. It is the primarily platform
where Thai and Malaysian entrepreneurs to interact, transact and forge new
partnerships and collaborations.

This year is the their 9th edition, the fair
has since evolved to become a mainstay annual event that not just facilitates
bilateral trade between the two nations; but also enhances international
awareness and exposure to Thai culture and traditions. There will be Thai cooking demonstration and cultural performances also.

We also
check out the wooden art board painting demonstration by Thailand's well-known
artist, Mr Tanupon En-On. Mr Tanupon is renowned for his mastery of the E-Sarn
murals technique in vibrant acrylic colours on canvas paintings. If you are interested,
the wooden board can be purchased for RM20 only and Mr Tanupon himself will guide
you on how to paint using the technique. The you can bring your artwork home as
souvenir.

post your finished board on the Mini Thailand Week's Facebook page with the
hashtag #minithailandweek2017 you will receive a special surprise from the
Department of International Trade Promotion. So don’t miss the chance ya!

You can
also stop over at Cha Tra Mue original Thai tea booth to quench your thirst and
get a taste of the Thai Milk Green Tea or Thai Milk Tea at RM6 only. Plus there
are Thai snacks booth and food booths. Oh ya! admission is free so do drop by
with your friends and family.
