Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017 @ Tokyo Big Sight

After our tour and shopping spree at the newly revamped ASICS Flagship Store Tokyo, we went back to our hotel to drop of the stuff and continued our journey to Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight. There are a few important missions we got to complete before the race day. What to expect at Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017?

Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017 @ Tokyo Big Sight 

Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017 starts from 23^rd till 25^th March, 2016 at West Hall of Tokyo Big Sight. We went there by train; well Japan’s train system is so convenient, efficient, fast and clean. By the way, do you know that Tokyo Marathon is the largest running trade show in Japan.

Race kit collection at Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017, Tokyo Big Sight 

First is to queue up to collect our race kit, although there were many people but the whole process was very systematic and in order. We were given a wrist tag to wear it throughout the whole race. Then collect race pack and timing chip, running tee and check the timing chip. That’s it! we are done with the most important task of the day. What's next?

Tokyo Marathon Museum is located right after the race kit collection exit point was the. Over there we learnt about the history and everything about the Tokyo Marathon including the new course. Plus we also got some input about Abbot World Marathon Majors. One of my dreams is to complete the six Abbott World Marathon Majors. Dare to Dream...

Basically most of the official partners exhibition booth or pavilions were on the 4^th Floor; these were more corporate and branding. The exhibition on the 1ft Floor was more interesting and that’s the place we shop.

On the 1st Floor, we were greeted by a huge ASICS pavilion selling all the limited edition merchandise for Tokyo Marathon 2017. I wish I was there on the first day because the limited edition running tees that I wanted its already sold out or don’t have the size that I wanted. Anyway… I bought a few items as souvenirs for myself, family and friends.

There were a lot of things to do there, try out the latest running gears and apparels, check out the new brands and innovative products or services, lots of promotions, and explore. 

 

Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017,  Level 1

It’s shopping time again! most of the products are on promo and it’s cheaper to buy at the expo then outside. We also discovered a lot of innovative products that are not available in our country.

Tokyo Marathon Expo 2017 Experience

Well we managed to complete out major tasks and also go around a bit. I wish that I have more time to explore the whole expo and go to every booth and pavilion. However we have to go back early to rest and get ready for the race tomorrow. I really hope to go back there again.
