Phase 3: Ready for Tokyo Marathon 2017, The Day We Unite
Getting ready
for Tokyo Marathon 2017 tomorrow morning, The Day We Unite. So far the weather
in Tokyo is pretty good, no rain but on the cold side for me. Yes I am nervous
at the same time excited as well. These are the gears that I have prepared for
the race day.

The
weather is cold here so I decided to wear ASICS’s compression tights and
motiondry top, shorts, gloves and beanie. Oh yes, I will wear a layer or long
sleeve thermal inside to keep me warm. My running shoes is ASICS Gel-Nimbus 19.

I try to bring as little items I as I
can in my pouch, I have some gels, saltsticks, Tokyo Metro day pass and
handphone. Well initially I decided to ditch my handphone at the bag drop but
it’s advisable to carry our handphone for emergency purposes.

I
arrived Tokyo late last night due to my flight delayed. Early this morning we
had a Shake Out Run with ASICS South East Asia team around Ginza area before
heading out to ASICS newly revamped flagship store in Ginza for a visit and
shopping.

Then we took the Metro to Tokyo Marathon 2017 Expo at Tokyo Big Sight to collect our race kit and more shopping, hehehe… Really thumbs up to the organizer, everything is in order and under control, we even have a special bag with tag for the bag drop. Plus I really have lots of fun at the expo, there were so many things to try, buy and see. Some of the products I find it very useful, practical and good but its not available in our country, hmm…
