Hello Friday from MAHA 2016 @ MAEPS Serdang! This
is my first time experience AgroLife at MAHA (Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and AgroTourism) and throughout the day I had lots of fun, tried many fresh
local produce, participate in games and activities at the same time learnt
a lot about plantation, fishery, our agriculture and agrotourism industry. Let
me take you for a quick tour around #MAHA2016.

Our day started with alfresco breakfast at Nafas Cube @ MARDI
overlooking the serene lake and surrounded lush greenery and forest. I was mesmerized
by the stack-up culvert cubes. Here is our breakfast to kick start the day.

The 2016 edition of the biennial MAHA event, that takes place together with The Farmers, Livestock Producers and Fishermen’s Day (HPPNK) programme, actively promotes agriculture and agro-based industries, showcasing all the different components of this fast-growing industry.

We are now at the Fisheries Zone. Check out this automated
ecosystem tank that is controlled using mobile app.

Imagine this beautiful maintenance free tropical rainforest at our
home. It is the combination of aquaponic system with ideal condition of a
greenhouse.

OMG! I love this Tuna Satay, I have tried chicken and lab satay
but this Satay Tuna is indeed addictive and perfect with tender meat and well marination.

understand and learnt about the underwater world and ecosystem.

Paddy Zone @ MAHA 2016 |
Tadah! We are now in the Paddy Zone! It’s real paddy fields, huge…
not only we get to experience the paddy field and life as a farmer but also we
picked up quite a lot of knowledge about rice processing, and took home a few
packs of premium rice. Its takes a lot of steps to produce rice, so don’t waste
food and consume moderately.
DIY bedak sejuk / cooling rice powder @ MAHA 2016 |
I also learnt how to make bedak sejuk or its cooling rice powder
that is traditional skincare and it’s a natural remedy to reduce pimple and
cool or calm down the skin irritations.

Jeng Jeng Jeng at Pineapple Zone; where we tasted fresh pineapple
fruits, juices, tarts, cakes and many more. I think I ate lots of MD 2
pineapples that day.

It’s so sweet, juicy and perfect for a hot weather like
this. Omg… pineapple overdose hehehe…

Met our blogger friend who is now venture into entrepreneurship; don’t

We hopped over to the Machinery Zone over there we bumped into
Upin and Ipin and also

Hey look! We spotted the number 2,500,000 visitor at MAHA 2016 on Friday
afternoon. I would expect more visitors this weekend especially it’s school and
public holiday. So can you imagine how many visitors to MAHA 2016, meletupsssss….

I am proud to see all these agriculture innovations and developments
plus tried so many fresh food and products produce by Malaysians. It is truly a
good experience to learn about agriculture life and how our food is produce.
Now I can appreciate food more.

ReplyDeleteI would have loved to visit MAHA, except that it was so hot outdoors! But that was not the reason that I didn't manage to visit. Have to wait for the next one two years later.
