Good Coffee Day @ ICE Gallery, Pantai Sentral Park

Life simple pleasures when we had a Good Coffee Day with bunch of light-minded friends at ICE Gallery in Pantai Sentral Park organised by IJM Land. Coffee is booster, kick start my day and without him I feel like I am lifeless. Last weekend, I had a fun day out at the pristine Pantai Sentral Park gallery learning all about coffee, also sipping my cuppa and chat with friends over some delectable tea treats at the same time check out the Secoya Residences.

They said if you want to learnt something, learn from the best sifu. So I was there to learn how to make my own cuppa. Great coffee begins at home workshop by Daniel Liew, the founder of the Barista Guild of Asia and one of just a handful of people who is a globally certified trainer and certifier with the prestigious Authorized Specialty Coffee Association of Europe.

During his fundamentals of Coffee workshops, Daniel took coffee us through the basics of brewing that perfect cup of coffee. He also shared his vast knowledge on the different coffee growing regions and their varietals of coffee beans in terms of taste and flavours.

We also learnt about the parameters that affect the quality of the beverage and pick-up some useful tips after the tasting exercises that helped us to distinguish the finer points of the brew.

Besides the coffee workshops, there were many activities, workshop and participating booths going on throughout the whole day. I lost count of how many cups of coffee I had on that day, there was freshly brewed coffee courtesy of Coffex Coffee. Plus I really love the coffee painting caricature by Vivian Lees, I met at several events and she is so talented. So do we look like our caricatures?

Kaleidos Art Tune, Eva’s Homemade Nougat, coffee2GO and Grid & Go booth

If your taste bud veer towards cold brewed coffee then go for the coffee2GO, their signature coffee is worth to try. Then it was quite the spectacle to watch Kaleidos Art Tune demonstrate how mugs and handles are skilfully crafted out of clay. From the beautifully presented Eva’s Homemade Nougat, to crisp-on-the-outside and fluffy-on-the-inside waffles by Grid & Go.

Here we have Shivani & Claudine decorating their cupcakes at the of Coffee Jeans & Co booth. Then we hopped over to Sketcher Fruit Ice-Cream for our treats. Which one should I try, red bean, cempedak, banana, durian or mango? Oh yes! I love the chocolate tarts from the skilful pastry chefs at Harold’s Academy and also the handcrafted cacao and coffee organic body scrub from Fawn Beauty Co.

Besides all these workshops, coffees and treats, we also had a great time viewing the luxury and elegant IJM Land’s Secoya Residences.
