with the hectic schedule and work piling up sometimes we skip our gym or
workout routine. With EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) Training I can fit it

What is EMS Training?
Let’s get to know what is EMS training first; EMS means Electric
Muscle Stimulation, it can be used as a training, rehabilitation, preventive
and as a beautifying tool. The impulses are generated by a device and delivered
through electrodes on the skin directly above the muscles to be stimulated. The
impulses cause the muscles to contract, so the result is similar to the actual
movement of the muscles.

What to prepare for EMS Training?
There is nothing to prepare all you need is yourself and get ready
to workout. Before the training, we have to go through body analysis and assessment
to check out BMI, muscles and fat analysis to get our InBody Score. Let’s get
started! Before the training we will be provided with inner clothes to wear that
consist of stretchable short sleeves top and ¾ pants plus towels. Then head
over to the main training area and get ready to suit up.

How does EMS Training works?
Once we are suit up and wired the personal trainer will set the
type of training that is suitable for our body needs. There are 4 types of programs
we can choose from ~ Slim, Shape & Tone for Women; Body Sculpting for Men;
Weight Loss; and Sports Performance.

My EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) Training Experience at Impulse Studio
I choose in between the Slim, Shape & Tone and the Sports
Performance program. Because I would like to tone up certain flabby parts of my
body such as my arms, inner thigh and tummy at the same time boost my stamina
for my runs.
So 20 minutes training per session is equivalent to almost 6 hours
of conventional gym workout. It’s recommended to twice a week consistently for 2
months. Can you imagine how intense the training in 20 minutes and how many
hours I can save per week. That’s a lot of time saved and I can use that to
spend more time with my family.
During the workout, the professional personal trainer will go through
with me 12 to 15 functional exercises. It is a very personalize training
according to our need and pace. I did the star jump, plank, squad, running in the spot and various types
of exercises with the suit and XBody devices on.
It really workout my whole body muscles including the inner
muscles which I can’t reach by doing the regular workout. The electric impulse
stimulation works on our deeper muscle tissue as well to improve our posture,
the blood circulation of the muscular and connective tissues will be enhanced
which leads to a firmer, more toned skin.
I felt the squeezed and the zapped on my muscles at the same time
have to focus on my workout regime. EMS training always trains all muscle
groups instead of each muscle, a total of around 90% of the entire muscular
system are trained simultaneously.
The hardest exercise for me is planking, during my first training I felt that my whole body is shaking and I almost wanted to let go, but I
hang on till the time is up. The deep muscle workout can make our bones stronger, so
they are more resistant to fractures, and indirectly helps avoid osteoporosis.

After the first training, my body felt a bit sore but it goes away
after 2 days. Then I continued with more training sessions and it gets better. I can feel that my body becoming fitter and stamina has improved.
Overall after a few training session I began to feel and see the
improvements on my fitness, health and also shape. My weight doesn’t really
change much but my arms and inner thigh are more toned and now I have a better
stamina to run faster and further. I think for those who want to lose weight
you can see the difference faster.
