Monki’s new denim collaboration is here… drum roll please. Here is Monki upcoming autumn 2016 denim collection collaboration with Swedish rock band, Dolores Haze. Inspired by a mix of 80/90s, rock and punk, this denim collection is Monki’s first to use 100% organic cotton.

The band will not only road test the new collection featuring rigid denim, big jackets, fringe hems, blacker than black stretch jeans and twisted black and blue mom jeans. They’ve also collaborated with Monki to create sweatshirts featuring their lyrics, a series of ready-to-iron embroidery patches plus, a Monki Mozik playlist of their favourite tunes to be played in store and on Monki’s Spotify channel.

The collaboration is also a denim match made in heaven for the band who’s love for Monki’s high waisted jeans is only meet by their love for the brand’s support of young creative women. ‘…And not just hyped artists,’ says singer and bassist Nicki, aka Groovy Nickz, ‘but upcoming artists that Monki finds inspiring and cool.’

Dolores Haze band ‘all for fun’ and empowering attitude, one that reflects the foursome’s desire to inspire other young women. The foursome, Groovy Nickz, Groovy Fuck, lead guitarist Lucky Lollo and drummer Foxy Sagz have been described as a dirty, loud punk version of the Spice Girls, shared the stage with legends such as Iggy Pop and have recently released their debut album, The Haze is Forever.
