We found some butterflies around the waterfall area but I am not sure about the species. Plus we saw some when by the river side we were trekking towards the Gua Batu but there weren’t that many. According to research the butterflies species that can be found in Bantimurung National Park are such as Troides helena Linne, 'Troides hypolitus' Cramer, Troides haliphron Boisduval, Papilio peranthus adamantius and Cethosia myrana. There is the Butterfly Conservation captivity and the butterfly Museum also.

From the waterfall we continue with a short jungle trekking before we reach the Gua Batu, one of the caves Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park.

There are 2 caves at the national park, the dream cave (Gua Mimpi) and stone cave (Gua Batu). We went to Gua Batu, there were bats inside the cave. The steps are not that steep so the hike was ok

After the waterfall, jungle trekking and all the activities we gathered by huts near the waterfall for our picnic lunch. As you can see there are many families, groups and also school children having their relaxing picnic there too.
