Fun Day @ SS15 Courtyard, Subang Jaya

Sunday is Fun Day! We were at the SS15 Courtyard at Subang Jaya on a bright Sunday morning to explore this new mall and had lots of fun. Well, this is a contemporary and neighborhood shopping mall that opened in December 2015. It is fairly new to me the last time I was here was for the Bodytone opening few weeks ago. And now I am back again with more friends for more fun and food.

Fun Day at SS15 Courtyard, Subang Jaya 

Our day started with the hearty and scrumptious breakfast at Naj & Belle located on the ground floor next to the entrance of the mall. 

Having the One Sweet Mess as my brunch. Its banana hot cake with fresh strawberry, blueberry, pistachio, burnt butterscotch and vanilla bean ice cream at Naj & Belle, SS15 Courtyard

Naj & Belle, a chic and stylish cafe that is perfect for hanging out with friends. They are famous for their all day brunch menu and also desserts. You must try their Watermelon Cake and also French Kisses (the one I am having at the patio).

They have a variety of pastas, sandwiches, salads and mains to choose. The cafe concept is inspired by the travels of Najib and Annabelle, the owner themselves. 

Cakes: Gianduja with Raspberry, Watermelon Cake, Rose Lychee Almond Crumble, French Kisses and Exotic Meringue Roll at Naj & Belle, SS15 Courtyard

Their coffees are decent as well, their own special blend of coffee from the Cauca region of Columbia from the rainforests and volcanic fertile soils of the Gayo Highland in Central Aceh. It has a hint of hazelnut and plum aroma with a medium balanced apricot acidity and notes of soft milk chocolate, caramel and vanilla.

Bodytone, SS15 Courtyard

Alright! after breakfast and ice breaking session we head over top the first floor for fitness experience at Bodytone. It’s payback time! burn off those calories that we ate earlier the cakes and french kisses.

We did our InBody Test to check our body composition, muscle-fat analysis, BMI and others. Anyway, I still have lots of fats to be burned and flabby parts to be toned.

We did 20 minutes Power Plate vibrating training, mind you the 15 minutes like so long for me. I like it, it’s quite vigorous and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness level.

Yoshinoya and Sanuki Udon Hanamaru, SS15 Courtyard

After that workout session, we rest for a while and then adjourned to our lunch at Yoshinoya and Sanuki Udon Hanamaru. If donburi is what you're after, head to the Yoshinoya the oldest and largest restaurant chains of beef bowl prepared with its secret recipe broth seasoned with savory herbs and spices together with large sweet onions, served on a bed of fluffy Japanese rice; a tasty yet healthy meal.

I like the cold Ontama Bukkake. Japanese wheat flour noodle at Hanamaru Udon. They have over ten different styles and varieties for you to choose from. This is Japan's famous Udon prepared with the best ingredients and made fresh and with good care at the restaurant daily.

Funtopia, SS15 Courtyard

Since we still have some time, so after lunch we hopped over to Funtopia on the same floor as Yoshinoya to try the rock climbing. Funtopia is suitable not only for children but adults also. There are various level of climbing and games there. I love the place, it has lots of natural sunlight which is good for photos and also the place is very colorful and fun to be in.

Of course safety is priority, make sure you follow the guide instruction and wear the harness and helmet. Actually, I am afraid of height since I am there with friends might as well try it and I feel secure also because all the safety features and if ever I landed it will be on the cushion so it’s safe. I hope to go back again for more challenging climb soon.

Overall I had a real fun day at SS15 Courtyard Mall with bunch of friends on that day. However there are lots more shops, café and restaurants in the shopping mall that I would like to experience as well. Such as the Putien, Rakuzen, Jibby Chow, Naughty Nuri’s, Yesterday, Wondermama, Hanbing Korean Dessert Café, Shinmapo Korean BBQ and Owee Cuisine.

Other noteworthy lifestyle and specialty brands at ss15 Courtyard include Loud Speaker, Pet Lovers Centre, Glitters & Beautique Salon, Bonzour Home, Thinker House, an educational centre and many more. I heard that Village Grocer will also be opening soon. Mind you there are about 50 specialty stores and F&B outlets at SS15 Courtyard.
