Heyo! Most of us know marshmallow as the soft spongy confectionery, how about the marshmallow root? So today we are going to share about the latest Jurlique Activating Water Essence that contains pure and potent marshmallow root to activate our skin’s ability to retain moisture. This is my first encounter with the raw marshmallow root.

Recently, Jurlique Malaysia launched its New Activating Water Essence at The Studio at KL, Nexus Bangsar South.

The Studio at KL was decorated with variety types of flowers and herbs that are available in Jurlique Biodynamic† Farm located in Adelaide Hills, South Australia such as rose, lavender, rosemary and daisy.

We were guided into the “Nature World of Jurlique” to immerse themselves with nature ambience before the event started. It’s so beautiful. 

We get to made our own “Nature in Jar” that consists of flowers, herbs and also marshmallow root to bring home as souvenirs.

Do you know the marshmallow root has healing properties? Here is Jurlique new Activating Water Essence uses marshmallow root as their main ingredients to soothe, hydrate and revitalize the skin. This new and highly concentrated Activating Water Essence is the essential step in every skin care ritual and suitable for all skin type.

Jurlique Activating Water Essence texture 

The Jurlique Activating Water Essence texture is like water but slightly thick or milky. It has the moderate scents of herbs, marshmallow root and botanical. The correct way to use Activating Water Essence; after cleansing, exfoliating and toning, pour a small amount of Activating Water Essence on the palm and gently dab on the whole face and neck. Then follow by our regular serum, special care, eyecare and moisturizer.

When apply on our skin it gives a very soothing and calm feeling because of the texture and scent. There is a mild cooling sensation, it very minimal only. I apply the Activating Water Essence twice a day, day and night. I feel that it keeps my skin moist and dewy, in the day time my foundation last longer and also it look more natural on my skin. There is no more flaky skin especially on the edge of my lips and my cheeks area.

I also try to soak my sheet mask with the Activating Water Essence and make it as my regular mask in the evening. After 15 minutes my skin feel super moist and look radiant also.
