Here for my first Ramadan 2016 Review, some of you might be wondering why so early. Well early bird get the worms, continue to read and you will know why. Look at the Ramadan buffet spread that created by SDCC’s Executive Chef Azmi Md Sidek Features a wide array of mouthwatering Malaysian favourites that one would expect during the season.

There will be about 20 cooking stalls where dishes are either cooked ala minute or prepared fresh for you. Such as Lok-Lok Steamboat, Sup Berempah, Sizzling Hot Plate, Penang Fried  Kway Teow, Assorted Cucur and many more.

As usual, every Ramadan Buffet I will never miss my Nasi Briyani and Roast Lamb this is their signature.

Plus I am sure many would want to try their Roasted Crispy Peking Duck, Ikan Bakar, Sup Berempah Gear Box, Gulai Kawah Tetel and the list goes on.

To satisfy our colourful and different taste buds there is also a selection of International cuisines, such as Grilled Mini Sirloin Steak, Assorted Sushi and Sushi and Sashimi and Italiano Pizza.

I am sure the first and foremost thing when comes to breakfast are the drinks and dates. To quench your thirst with truly- Malaysian drinks like The Tarik and Nescafe Tarik, Cincau, Soya Bean, Bandung, Barley Lime and Sugar Cane and there are Special Fruit Smoothies among others as well.

You will be spoilt by choice for theie wide selection of desserts both local and international. Local delights such as Tapai Pulut Daun Getah, Pulut Panggang Warisan, Coconut Jelly and the much-loved Crepe with Durian, are served side by side with the likes of Durian Cheesecake, Apple Crumble, Oreo Cheese Cake, Banana Strudel and Bread & Butter Pudding.

There are varieties of dates (kurma) from Middleeast such as rotab, mariami, najwa and more. The Wajik and Dodol will only be served after the 15^th days of Ramadan.

Lamb Kebab

Ok for those who prefer to have a healthier choice during breakfast or joining their friends or family for breaking fast there is a healthy option counter. There are assorted sandwiches to choose from such as tuna with spring onion, sardine with bird eye chilli, sliced turkey meat, cold cuts, smoked salmon, roast beef slice, chicken, salads and dips.

Taste of Malaysia This Ramadan @ Sime Darby Convention Centre is priced at Priced at RM138.00+ per person. The buka puasa buffet wil start daily from 630pm to 1030pm beginning 8^th June 2016 until 5^th July 2016. Children (aged 6 to 12 years) and senior citizens (aged 60 and above) enjoy a 50% discount. Children below 6 years eat for free.
