LOKA Malaysia was established since December 2015 to create
opportunities for Malaysian lifestyle brands to compete and showcase their
capabilities alongside with international brands. It has generated its own fan
base with a target audience of the 20s and 30s age group.
According to LOKA General Manager, Zye Ramli, currently LOKA has a
total of 38 brands and plan to grow the number further up to 500 brands in the
next 3 years.
LOKA offers streetwear, fashion, accessories, children’s wear,
bath & body, art, home & living, fitness apparel and night wear. The
brands that are currently available such as Pestle & Mortar, Gadis Manis,
Ash Be Nimble, Greenroom 136, Stoned & Co, Josh Lee Fragrances, Kheng Yu,
Tarik Jeans, Rare Clothing, MEM Watches, Cufica, YKeni, The Sabun, Benua
Clothing, Doof Industries, Tiny Forest by Yuna, Minpi Matamoon, Kooshboo, Soonaru,
Nerd Unit, Blau Grun and more.
The main idea behind the interception of LOKA was to see the next
generation of Malaysia creative entrepreneurs flourish and catapult their brand
to global standards. LOKA wants this to become a movement for local brands to
participate, grow and expand.
