It’s was a night to remember with artistic creation of hair and
fashion, truly an artistry of inspiring creativity. This is the third year Shiseido
Professional Beauty Innovator Award. It’s also Asia’s largest photo contest
that con-currently took place in eight countries Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore,
Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

Yes! We are here for the 3rd year, last year the BIA2014 was held in Nexus, Bangsar
South, Kuala Lumpur and this year is even bigger and better at KL Convention
Center Exhibition Hall 2. This year, 10 entries were shortlisted as the
semi-finalists from two sessions of judging which was carried out prior to the
eventful night.

The opening hair show by Shiseido Professional Beauty Innovator Award
Asia Winners, with the looks of the 1910’s to 1940’s. The hands behind these
wonderful designs were Edison Lim from E Avenue Salon, Malaysia; Lai Mei Jen of
Shunji Matsuo Salon, Singapore; Dick Cheng of Reborn Hair Salon, Hong Kong;
Phasuk Wongsurakan of Winner Hair Salon, Thailand; Anson Kao of Modern House
Salon, Taiwan; Allen Zhang of Akozo Salon, China; Kim Sun Woo of Soonsoo Salon,
Korea and Peter Pang of JFeelz Hair & Makeup Studio, Malaysia.
Welcoming address by Mr. Kuninori Ueno, Managing Director of Shiseido
Malaysia and Ms. Samantha Vong, Regional General Manager of Shiseido
Professional Malaysia and Singapore. Then the hair show by the Artistic
Ambassadors of Shiseido Professional, that’s made up of Edison Lim of E Avenue,
Ming Thum of A Saloon, Peter Pang and Joe Loh of JFeelz Hair & Makeup
Studio.
It’s the fashion trends from the elegant 1950s to the party look
of 1980s – which was definitely a feast for the eyes. Hair show by Shiseido Professional
Beauty Creative Team - Lois Lee, Eric Koh and Elvin Soh they presented the
trends of the 21st century in three different color themes - Red, Black and
White which are the corporate colors of Shiseido Professional.
The Top 5 selected will be making their way to an all expense paid
trip to Japan, to attend the Shiseido Professional Beauty Congress to be held
in Japan in March 2016, sponsored by Corporate Incentive Travel Planners
(CITP).
These Top 5 entries were carefully selected by our local panel of
judges, made up of industry experts and it was then sent over to the Panel of
Grand Jury in Japan, comprising of Shiseido Beauty Top Specialist, Mr. Masa
Otake, as well as renowned photographers and designers, who participated as guest
judges.

One Malaysian Grand Prix Winner was selected and Eugene Low Wai
Ket of E.Vogue Hair & Beauty Studio Academy, Johor Bahru with his creation,
Chrysolophus Amberstine had won Shiseido Professional Beauty Innovator Award
2015. Eugene won himself an all-new Nissan Almera 1.5 (A), an all-expense paid trip
to Japan to attend the Beauty Congress in Japan in March 2016, an all-expense
paid study course at the Shiseido Academy of Beauty and Fashion (SABFA) in
Japan and a salon sponsorship worth RM50,000.
