Hey! What do you think of my current shoulder length hairstyle? I find
it quite refreshing and perfect for the hot weather. It has been a
while I have long straight black hair. Well, if I am not mistaken more than 3
years at least. Well, just before Chinese New Year I thought of meeting some of
my friends that I have not catch up for a long long time. So I decided to
catch-up with Akiyo for coffee and lunch. She invited me to her salon
Pitchoune Hairdesign and then lunch at Yamagoya Ramen at Solaris Dutamas.

Hair Makeover

Arrived at her salon and most of her clients are Japansese. As you
know Japanese hair salon mostly are zen design, clean and minimalist. I like
the natural sunlight and the spaciousness.

So here is my stylist Hiro San from Japan. He is so polite, before
he cut or do anything he will tell me and make sure I am ok with it. Hiro suggested
that I changed my hairstyle, make it shorter do body perm and then colored it.

Well that day I was a bit rush and not ready for such a drastic makeover so I
decided to cut it first, perhaps the next round I go for the body perm and
color. Anyway Solaris Dutamas is very near my place I am always there so no
problem.

We started with hair wash and then he started to cut my hair. Oouchhh
so saying to see my hair that I have been keeping it for so long on the floor
now. Anyway I am excited to see the final outcome. He is quite fast and it’s
done. Then followed by blow and styling.

After my hair makeover we went to Yamagoya Ramen which is below
the hair salon for lunch. Plus I also tried out the 0% alcohol Suntory beer
which she imported in from Japan.

Overall I like my new hairstyle. Initially I feel a bit odd
because suddenly I don’t have the long hair to cover my arms. Anyway after a
while I get used to it, shorter hair is easier to maintain and manage. Plus
hair drop also lesser and no more split and frizzy ends. Some of my friends actually
commented that my new hairstyle makes me look younger. Aahh that’s the ultimate
goal, I think shorter makes us look more energetic and vibrant thus overall
gives more youthful look. Do you think I should perm and color my hair?
