As you know I love spicy food plus I am from Penang so I am proud to
say that that I can tolerate spiciness like a hero. Last Saturday I accepted the
Spicy Challenge at Chilli Rush, Jaya One organized by Cool Tea. OMG!!! I tell
you this is not a joke, I have to finished 12 pieces of Chilli Rush Chicken
Wings at the spicy level of 10th which is almost non-human. I was
out of my mind and almost cried while eating them. Can you guess how many
chicken wings I ate?
Spicy Challenge Accepted! |
Hey there, we were at a cozy restaurant that is quite well known
for their spicy food and also the Spicy Challenge.
We are
game for Spicy Challenge! Are you?
|
Upon arrival we were served the signature welcome drink. It’s a
mixture of spicy, sourish and sweet concoction. So let’s start to bottoms up. It’s
going to be alright because we have our Cool Tea on standby.

Rush signature welcome drink

We mingled, had some quiz games, then dinner and at the same time we get to try the new Cool Tea from Mamee. Most of the food served on that evening were hot and spicy like sambal prawn, tom yam, rendang beef, lamb curry and etc… Cool Tea is able to combat spicy and heaty food.
Cool Tea is available in 3 variants - Chrysanthemum Tea, Green Tea & Herbal Tea
|
Have you try it? The Cool Tea is available in 3 variants - Green Tea, Chrysanthemum Tea and also the original Herbal Tea. It contains 8 different herbal extracts such as liquorice root, lotus leaf, honeysuckle and chrysanthemum flower, selfheal, grosvenor momordica fruit, mulberry leaf and mesona chinensis.
That night I tried all the 3 variants, as for me the original Herbal Tea in blue is my favourite. The sweetness level is just right, not overly sweet and it’s smooth to drink. There is no bitterness like the Chinese herbal tea that I used to drink.
Chilli
Rush Chicken Wings @ Spicy Level 10th
|
Spicy Challenge Accepted and started! Actually I don’t expect that we straight away start with the level 10th. Omg this spicy level is beyond my tolerance. The moment they served the Chilli Rush Chicken Wings in front of me I can smell the sharpness of the chilly. Then, the moment the chicken wings with the chilli gravy touched my lips omg… I can feel the burning, tingling sensation and my tongue numbed. I tried my best but I barely can finish 1 piece.

Lucky that I have the Cool Tea on standby to soothe my throat and mouth after eating the spicy chicken wings and the spicy dinner earlier. It helps to reduce the burning sensation in my mouth and also cool my body down because I was sweating after the challenge.
Spicy
Challenge final round and who will be the champion?
|
I obviously did not make it to the final round of the Spicy Challenge. So here are the bloggers who really gung-ho and they can take more spiciness that me. I saw some of them really sweat out and cried while eating the Chilli Rush Chicken Wings. Wow! they are going to need more Cool Tea after the challenge.
Well, this my first Spicy Challenge and it was a good experience. The
level 10th Chilli Rush Chicken Wings were way too spicy for me but I
have Cool Tea as my rescue and it’s able to combat spicy and heaty food. as my
remedy to cool down my body hot moments from spicy and heaty food and also the constant
hot weather.
