Intelligent Hairstyles & Asian Texture Trend 2016

Recently, I learned that there is a hairstyle that can makes us look intelligent or at least more intelligent. Really??? I would love to have that intelligent hairstyle before going for my interview or presentation, right. Well, I had an interview with Korea's Star Stylist, Kim Hyun Tae on Shiseido Professional Asian Texture Trend 2016. Check out his tips and the hairstyle that can make women look young & sexy and young & intelligent. 

Intelligent Hairstyles & Asian Texture Trend 2016 by Shiseido Professional

Kim Hyun Tae is a renowned Korean hairstylist and the CEO of Rabeauty Salon in Korea. He has styled so many Korean celebrities and artist including Song Hye Kyo. Kim has joined the Shiseido Professional Group as an ambassador for Shiseido Professional Korea.

During the interview session Kim shared with us an insight on the latest curling trends. And also presented 3 different types of hair textures, which are the glamorously long (long hair length), elegantly medium (mid-hair length) and innocently short style (short hair length).

According to Kim, a beautiful hair can make girls look young, sexy and intelligent. Oh yes, we mentioned before we want to have that hairstyle that can make us look young and intelligent. Kim told us that for this look we should go for medium hair length (shoulder length) and the C curls (curling in) on the bottom not the whole head. 

Another look is the young and sexy, you can go for long wavy curls with bangs. Looks like bangs is back again, however for those who have short forehead and still want to have bangs perhaps you can try the airy bangs, those slightly see through forehead. Apart from that, Kim also shared with is the 2016 hair color trends are ash blue, dark blonde and also maroon.

Here are some of my interview with Kim Hyun Tae questions & answer.

1. This is one of the hot questions from my readers and myself, what is the best hairstyle that suitable for Asian girls with round face? Or what hairstyle and hair color that can make a round shape face look sharper or more V?

For round face, the number 1 rule is to avoid cutting bangs, because this will emphasize more on your round shape. But for a round shape face, you can still cut bangs, but instead of a straight cut bangs, you can opt for an irregular cut bangs (unequal length and not straight cut), as well as have some hair hanging by the side of your ears. This can make a round shape look sharper.

2. Do you think women look sexier in long hair or short hair? Why?

Both hairstyles can look equally sexy, whether long or short hair. It all depends on the hairstyling. You can go for the glamorously elegant curl for long hair and the sophisticated look for short hair to look sexy. So I believe both styles are equally as sexy.

3. How often women can perm or colored her hair? For example, two or six months once or can it be once a month?

For perm, I would recommend to perm 4 months later after your first perm, because permanent perm can last for approximately 3 months to 4 months. For hair coloring, I will recommend to have at least 1 month gap in between your first coloring treatment. This is to rest your scalp from chemical treatments.

4. What about different curls style for different face shape?

In actuality, curls do not affect the face shape, but it is the hair cutting style and technique that affects your face shape. For example, hairstyles like bangs or fringe actually plays an important role on one’s face shape. Curls on the hand, creates and gives image to the wearer. Curls can give you the young, cute and innocent look, or the glamorously elegant look, or even the soft, romantic look. So curls portray an image, and face shape is determined by the cutting style.

5. What is your favorite hairstyle for women?

I like styling short to medium hair length. From there, I am able to use my creativity to create different looks because short to medium hair lengths are no easy task. Everyone can style long hair styles, but short to medium lengths are challenging. And I like the challenge.
