Here for GASTRO Go Chef’s Table Series hosted by the award-winning
Chef Justin Hor at The Han Room, The Gardens Mall in conjunction with The
Gardens Mall's 3-week culinary festival from 22nd October to 15th
November 2015.
We were served 7-course meal specially curated for the GASTRO Go Chef’s
Table Series luncheon by Chef Justin Hor.
Glutinous Rice Bun topped with Char Siew and Prawns & Foie Gras Toast |
It was such a pleasure to savour all the
delicate dishes. We started with Appetizer & Dim Sum Platter, the miniature
Prawns & Foie Gras Toast; Chicken Mushroom Bun; Pan-Fried Water Chestnut
Cake; Glutinous Rice Bun topped with Char Siew.
Chicken Mushroom Bun |
I like the Prawns & Foie
Gras Toast the combination of creamy foie gras and prawns paste on crispy toast.
Peking Duck served with Piggy Bun |
The Peking Duck served with Piggy Bun, the crispy duck skin with
the fluffy cute piggy bun staring at me. At the end I finished it in 2 bites.
Steamed deep sea garoupa with stuff clam, fish maw, seng kwa and glass noodle in casserole |
The steamed deep sea garoupa with stuff clam, fish maw, seng kwa
and glass noodle in casserole is the highlight of the menu for me. Its light
and I can taste the natural sweetness of the fish and clam juice. The dish is a
bit soupy, with they have added some black fungus. It like home cook style and
goes well with rice too.
Deep fried beef ribs with spicy sauce |
Deep fried beef ribs with spicy sauce is savory and the meet is
very tender. It's wagyu beef, you can expect it melts in your mouth.
Braised egg noodles with shredded duck
|
Chilled snow pear & seaweed ball in teapot served with the crystal longevity bun with macadamia nut |
Desserts are the chilled snow pear & seaweed ball in teapot
served with the crystal longevity bun with macadamia nut. The chilled snow pear
& seaweed ball in teapot is really throat soothing after all the food
served earlier.
