I have reviewed about Newens Tea House, Starhill Gallery in December 2014. This is the first Newens Tea House out of England bringing 200 years old London tea room with 500 years old secret to Malaysia.

 As I mentioned you must try the Maids of Honor tart because it was discovered back in 16^th century by Tudor King Henry VIII and the recipe was kept only for the Royal court until it was leaked by a palace cook to John Billet, a baker in Richmond. And now we get to enjoyed it here in Kuala Lumpur. Oh by the way, the Maids of Honor tart is RM12 per piece.

Fashion Afternoon Tea at RM160nett per Set of Two

Here is the Fashion Afternoon Hi-Tea Set @ Newens Tea House, Starhill Gallery that is RM160nett per Set of Two persons with free flow of tea and minimum 30 persons per session.

On the Tier 1 you have the Strawberry Dip Chocolate, Couture Handbag Cake, Red Velvet Cupcake with Chocolate Hat, Designer Shoe Cookie and English Trifle. It's too pretty and don't have the heart to eat them. Look at the handbag cake I almost wanted to take it back. Can't get enough photos of all these delicate desserts. They look pretty and taste excellent at well. The cakes are moist and soft and cookies are so fresh. 

The Tier 2 are the Maids of Honor Tarts, Chicken Puff Pastries and Spinach Quiche. This is the highlight. You can also order additional Maids of Honor tarts. We did the same because its so good and satisfying. 

And Tier 3 you have the assorted open sandwich such as salmon, tuna and egg mayo. You can choose one of the tea either the Orange Pekoe or Starhill Jewel Tea. I like the Starhill Jewel Tea that has a hint of fruity.

Maids of Honor Tarts

The correct way to enjoy afternoon tea is to start from the lower tier to the top. Start with the savory sandwiches than to desserts like the cakes and cookies. But it’s always up to your style if you are not that hungry you can skip the sandwich and head straight to the desserts.

You can choose one of the tea ~ either Orange Pekoe or Starhill Jewel Tea
