I just love holiday and festive season because there are reasons for me to shop and indulge. Let’s start with L’OCCITANE x Pierre Herme, shall we? Can you imagine two talent combined to create fragrances and a collection? The founder of L’OCCITANE, Olivier Baussan creates the shape and colors for the collections bottle and the box. Pierre Herme a renowned pastry chef creates the fragrances and flavours. Now our nose is trained not only to smell them but also taste them.

L’OCCITANE 2015 Christmas Collection

L’OCCITANE 2015 Christmas Collection consists of Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli, Pamplemousse Rhubarbe and Miel Mandarine. Out of the 3 collections, I prefer the Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli because I am more of floral and feminine personality.

L’OCCITANE Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli

The scent is floral and absolutely feminine. It is slightly stronger than the Pamplemousse Rhubarbe. The head notes are quite strong then after the fragrance set in, the heart notes with blends of jasmine and softness of Orange Blossom capture my attention. The pastry chef, Pierre Hermé balances the white notes of gardens at dawn with the gold of a flower that still flourishes throughout the Corsican maquis.

Head notes: Petit Grain, Pink Pepper, Lemon

Heart notes: Jasmine, Immortelle, Neroli, Orange Blossom

Base notes: Amber, White Wood, Musk

L’OCCITANE Pamplemousse Rhubarbe

The fruity citrus merges with Rhubarb sharpness tantalizes the nose & the taste buds. This fragrance smells so delicious. The scent open with grapefruit includes the slightly bitter, white inner skin with its character underlined by the green and crisp aromas of Rhubarb. This beautifully balanced note is soon ruffled at its heart by sensual, piquant spices. In this original composition, woody notes of Cedar conjure up the sensation of mischievous Grapefruit cutting through the tartness of Rhubarb stalks.

Head notes: Grapefruit, Rhubarb, Lemon, Cypress

Heart notes: Clove, Nutmeg, Lavandin

Base notes: Cedar, Vetive

L’OCCITANE Miel Mandarine

The scent reminds me of Chinese New Year, where we used to have mandarin oranges at home. The scent is fruity and awakening. At the moment, the Miel Mandarine collection only available have hand cream, 30ml @ RM41 and lip balm, 12ml @RM41.
