Women with Drive: Sime Darby LPGA 2015 Malaysia @ KLGCC

I think I am a little tanned now as last weekend I was at the Women with Drive: Sime DarbyLPGA Malaysia 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC). We spent quite some time outdoor and had a good time chill out with friends at The Courtyard.

While golf aficionados will relish the prospect of watching Lydia Ko and Michelle Wie going head to head on the East Course, there were different entertainments line-up for the families. The Sime DarbyLPGA Malaysia 2015 is from 8-11 October 2015.

Patricia Knudsen, popularly known as Patricia K, takes on the role of Resident DJ at the new ‘Courtyard’ marquee.

It’s a huge open sided tent at the heart of the concourse, overlooking the players practice putting green and a stone’s throw from the 18th hole.

Complete with a Players Corner where visitors will get to meet the stars of the LPGA Tour, food stalls serving an array of dishes prepared by KLGCC Head Chef Arnold and a licensed bar the venue is set to be the new social hub and meet-point for the four-day fiesta.

KL Food Truck Festival @ Sime DarbyLPGA Malaysia 2015

The KL Food Truck Festival made its golfing debut at this year’s tournament. Six of the capital’s favourite food trucks – Ken’s Food Truck, Burger Giler Power, Malaysian Ninja Truck, Pizza & Pasta and Thyme Out –served a variety of dishes, encompassing Malaysia’s best home grown specialities, international favourites, vegetarian options and everything in between. With prices capped at RM10 per dish and a free dish included in the ticket price the initiative certainly brought a very new flavour to the tournament.
