Beauty Bound Asia National Finals Phase 2 Malaysia

Here for National Finals of Beauty Bound Asia Phase 2 at Ruyi & Lyn, Bangsar Shopping Centre on 3^rd of Oct . In round there are 29 finalists selected and they took part in a hackathon challenge (where they had to do a make-over in 30 mins) and 2 workshops.   

National Finals of Beauty Bound Asia Phase 2 

Well some of the finalists are fellow bloggers and youtubers that I know personally. So happy for them and wish that they are selected for the finals. Let’s start! so on that day there are 3 activities for the contestants. They were divided into 3 groups and the 3 different activities (1 hackathon challenge and 2 workshops) will happen simultaneously for each of the group.

Hackathon Challenge ~ makeover in 30 mins

Among the 3 activities, the finalists will only be judged on the hackathon challenge. So that was the major and highlight of the 3 activities on that day. Where else, the 2 workshops are for the finalists to pick up tips and tricks plus learn from industry experts.

Workshop A was by make-up guru Khir Khalid who shared make-up tips and tricks with the finalists. 

Beauty Trends Workshop by Izza Safinaz

Workshop B was by Eh! Cosmopolitan and Jelita magazines’ managing editor Izza Safinaz Ibrahim who shared insights into beauty trends.

Beauty Bound Asia, National Finals Phase 2 @ Ruyi & Lyn

Following the Oct 3 National Finals, the 29 finalists must take part in an online challenge to be eligible for the next stage. This online challenge is made up of 2 parts:

Unboxing challenge

Finalists each received a box of goodies before they left. They are to post an unboxing video on their experience with the box and share their genuine unboxing experience on camera.

The 'No make-up, make-up look'

Finalists are to demo how to achieve the perfect no make-up look using skincare, make-up and hair styling, show the products they use and explain their tips/techniques. The video should not exceed 5mins. 

Of the 29 finalists, only 2 will make it to the Asia Finals in Tokyo this November. These 2 national finalists will be made known on Oct 21. I am excited to know who are the talented Beauty Content Creator that are going to represent Malaysia for the Finals in Tokyo. All the best!
