One of those nights that I decided to eat out, we tried the new La
Casa @ Verve Suites, Mont Kiara somewhere near home with a few friends. They
served mainly Western and Italian home cook dishes with Asian specials upon request.
The ambience is quite cozy with wooden fixtures and quirky furnishings replete
with eye-catching cushions and bookshelf in a spacious homey feel.
La Casa emphasis on their food natural flavours with healthy fare prepared
from scratch without MSG, chemicals and artificial flavourings. Founder
May was a web designer and music teacher who simply wanted a place to call her
own that served hearty meals with friendly service that enhances our dining
experience. Be able to enjoy a meal in our comfy confines.

We started with the Antipasto Platter, a good combinations of cheeses, salamis, nuts, dried fruits, pickles and bread. Would wish to have a glass of wine to chill with these while chatting.

Mango, Couscous & Cilantro Salad

I like the light and refreshing dressing of this Mango, Couscous and Cilantro Salad with quinoa. The salad is fresh and crisp and I don't mind second helping.

Turkey Chorizo, Camembert & Honey Sandwich, RM26

For those who want a quick bite perhaps you can try the Turkey Chorizo, Camembert & Honey Sandwich. Its cut into 4, the combination aroma turkey and cheese just right. The portion is not too big.

Chicken Confit, RM32

Chicken Confit, RM32 portion is moderate, the chicken meat is slightly dry and the taste is light. However their mashed potato is good and smooth.

Baked Fish Papillote
|
Baked Fish Papillote takes a while to cook and the portion is big. It is for 4 person sharing if you have other dishes or 2 person if you just have this and bread. It is just like paper wrapped chicken but this is the fish and seafood version. It's delicious when you eat it hot with pasta or bread.

Teriyaki Salmon with Spinach
The generous portion of teriyaki salmon with spinach and creamy fettuccine. Among all I like this dish the most. Its like home cook food, the taste is light. Even the fettuccine is lightly tossed with cream and sprinkles with chopped parsley and crispy garlic.
