A Food Odyssey & Galactic Chefs @ MIGF 2015

The journey of Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF 2015) will begins throughout October. However, few weeks ago I attended the Taste MIGF 2015 Gala Launch at Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It was a night of Food Odyssey & Galactic Chefs filled with fun, music, entertainment, drinks and gourmet food. It’s epic like in Star Wars.

The Taste MIGF is the festival preview of MIGF as the participating restaurants gathers in the specially created “Theatre of Cuisines” to serve sampling portions from their Festival Menus.

This year there are a few new and up coming restaurant participated such as Ruyi & Lyn. Some guests dressed up to the theme for the Gala launch. We had a great night at the Taste MIGF.

Overall the best soup is the baby Abalone with Dried Maca & Chicken Soup by Imperial Rama. The best decoration according to the theme is The Olive. The most interesting dish is the Duck Liver Terrine and Pot Wine Jelly, Warm Homemade Brioche and Balsamic Reduction. Its to be enjoyed slowly and taste every savory notes.

The next ballroom is the Epicure Gourmet Village whereby there are booths setup selling gourmet food and beverages ranges from fine wines to exquisite cheeses as well as mouth-watering delicacies from around the world.
