Mustard Green Rice (no price) & Malai Koftha Gravy, RM15
Mustard Green Rice is new item and the restaurant has not put it up on the menu yet. Price is unknown. I am glad that we get to try it. The rice is fluffy and comes in longer grain because its basmathi rice cooked in mustard, green chili & coriander sauce, lime on top. It has the mild spicy flavour and appetizing. The Malai Kofta Gravy is from white cashew nut, onion, cream gravy with dryfruit. The round dryfruit dumpling is made of cashew nut, almond, raisin, cottage cheese dough.
Samosa Set, RM7 for 2 pcs |
Samosa Set, RM7 for 2 pcs
I am sure most of you have tried samosa before. It’s one of the popular Indian finger food, snacks and street food. The fluffy potato filling with green chilli, fennel seeds, coriander and spices wrapped in a crispy pastry. It has a rich aroma of spice and very addictive snacks.
Himachali Kumbh, RM18 |
Himachali Kumbh, RM18
This is my first time trying the Himachali Kumbh, it’s cheese stuffed mushroom malai tikka. Button mushroom cooked in tikka style (tandoor oven) with malai sauce. It’s savoury, smooth and creamy. Himachali is a province name where it has nice mushroom.
Vada Pav, RM5.50 |
Vada Pav, RM5.50
This is interesting, have you tried the Indian Burger? It’s vegetarian
and popular in Mumbai as grab & go food during rush hour or anytime. I like
this mini sized burger. The patty or dumpling filling base are potatoes with
coriander & green chili. The burger bun is homemade and fluffy it like
potato bun with a dash of chutney powder on the bun to give the spicy kick. You
must eat burger with the sauces too, there are 2 types of sauce - tamarind sauce
(tamarind & jaggery -sugarcane) and the green sauce (coriander, green
chili, yogurt and chutney).
Thai Curry Dal & Garlic Naan, RM14 |
Thai Curry Dal & Garlic Naan, RM14
Oh here comes the garlic naan and thai curry dal. This is a bit
fusion, the mixture of Indian and Thai. I like the Thai Curry Dal it is slightly
creamy than the usual Thai Curry because it has dal, potatoes and vegetables in
it. It goes well with garlic naan.
Bhurji Pav, RM18 |
Bhurji Pav, RM18
This look like scramble eggs to me but it’s actually is shredded
cottage cheese with pav / lacha paratha. Well Bhurji means scrambled, cottage
cheese, onion, green chili. The aroma of fried cheese and the spicy kick in and
paired well with the laacha paratha, layered flat bread made with whole wheat
flour (atta).
Parizza Layered Pizza, RM24 |
Parizza Layered Pizza RM24
I like Indian pizza because they use laacha paratha, layered flat
bread made with whole wheat flour as the bread. The pizza has capsicum, bbq
sauce, cottage cheese, mozzarella, cheddar. The base is cooked using tandoor
oven, then placed toppings, and cook again in oven. Dipped it with the sweet
and sour tamarind sauce.
Chili Garlic Sizzler, RM24 |
Chili Garlic Sizzler, RM24
This look very Asian to me, you can choose either rice or noodles
or both and it’s topped with generous portion of fresh chili garlic paste
sauce, veggies, cottage cheese that is homemade. This dish is slightly spicy
and has lots of cottage cheese plus vegetable. It suitable for 2 person if you
and your partner are small eater.
Chocolate Samosa, RM18 |
Chocolate Samosa, RM18
This is the Chef Abhi Recommendation. It chocolate stuff samosa
topped with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream on the side. Enjoy the rich,
creamy chocolate dessert. Time for some chocolate indulgence… end with a sweet
note.
All the food served in Mumbai Delights is vegetarian. So for those
on vegetarian diet you will be delighted! Even though it’s vegetarian the food
is tasty using the spices and ingredients that they use are fresh. I like their
cream base is from cashew nuts that give the natural sweetness, flavour and
creaminess to the food.
