Since then, Dior perfumes never fail to represent all the passions
of the couturier-perfumer who founded the label – his love of flowers naturally
led to the creation of numerous fragrances with a floral heart.
Such
proliferation of flowers has become a significant characteristic of Dior’s signature
fragrances including Diorama in 1949, Diorissimo in 1956, and J’Adore in 1999.
La Collection Privée Christian Dior ~ Feve Delicieuse |
La Collection Privée is created by Dior’s Perfumer-Creator, Mr. Francois Demachy. The
13 fragrances in the La Collection Privée line encapsulate the House of Dior’s
history and its unique aesthetic via the medium of scents like the rare Iris
Florentina, Somali Incense, Indonesian Oud Wood, Indonesian Patchouli and
Ambergis from New Zealand.
Mr. Demachy describes the prestige line with “rare ingredients,
daring olfactory statements and creation that knows no bounds”, and that this
collection “reflects the freedom that only true luxury can provide, and is a
delightful recreation for a Perfumer.”

After reading each of the descriptions of the 13 scents, I could really see how special each one is. Some even sound so complicated, congrats to Dior!
ReplyDeleteI am not a connoiseur of scents, but I know the name of Dior, and it should be good. I wonder how it would smell like Earl Grey Tea or Oud Wood?
ReplyDeleteWow, which one did you get for yourself? I don't have the habit of using perfume though~
ReplyDeleteI'm not really into perfumes, especially those that are top of the line products because they are expensive. Their store looks chic and inviting. :)

ReplyDeleteDior is one of the aspirational brands for me. They really have class not just in their ads but more so in their products. Describing the 13 scents is hard and takes so much effort; what more when they were creating each one. And that's what I think makes it special.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I wish I could attend such an event in my city too. My mother loves one of the CD perfumes a lot!
