This is the fourth consecutive year the Sakura Collection Student Awards is being hosted at Tokyo Street, dedicated to promoting Japanese arts, culture, food and fashion; Tokyo Street shares the same objective as the Awards – to serve as a platform for cultural exchange between Japan and Malaysia. Sakura Collection Students Awards 2015 has not only been launched in Malaysia, but has also successfully expanded into Thailand and Vietnam; with Indonesia in the pipeline.

During the launch, there was a special kimono dance performance by Mika Yoshida, Miss Japon and one of Japan’s top Ikebana flower arrangers, Shogo Kariyazaki showcased his famous floral creations. Plus there was a photo exhibition about the achievements and milestones of the Awards.

Last year, the competition saw 182 entries, with the winner Ms Qamarina Abdullah winning a trip to witness the Sakura Collection Asia Awards Showcase in Japan. This year, the winning entries will attend the showcase in Yokohama in 2016.
